Birthday Weirdo!

Good morning! Hope your week is going well...mine is going...fast! Had a crazy busy week so far, still trying to catch up with myself, so I'll keep this short! Here's my DT card for our new challenge at Creative Moments, the optional theme this time is 'Spring colours'. My card doesn't have a spring theme at all, but for me green and yellow are the colour of spring...I was allowed to choose an image from Dr Digi, one of our fab sponsors this fortnight (please click here to visit the main challenge blog for full details of sponsors)...so here here he is...Birthday-Bot, all coloured up with my copics then generously coated with glossy accents...perfect card for one of my brothers who is a weirdo...still love him though!
Sorry I haven't been around much this week, been so busy with family visiting, will catch up soon!
Thanks for looking!

I've added some tiny pearls to the centres.

Feeling blue?

OOPS! Just realised this card didn't post on Wednesday! It's for the
new challenge at Creative Moments , the optional theme is 'Winter Blues'...include some blue in your design, this fortnight we have 2 lovely sponsors

I was given a sweet image from Mari Designs, available here. He's such a sweetie with that sad innocent face.  He's coloured with copics and fussy cut. My card design is a one I haven't tried before, a swing step card. Papers from my stash...they look more blue IRL! I added a die cut fence and some punched daisies.  Well it's blue if not very wintery!!!

There's a new challenge with a fun theme starting over at Southern Girls..."Pop it up with foam"...sponsored by Ppinky Dolls

My sweet image, Marilou is courtesy of Ppinky Dolls. She's coloured with copics and die cut into a circle. I added a few die cuts, which as you can see from the deep blue shadows (it was a gorgeous sunny day!) are popped up on foam! Hope you're tempted to play along with this lovely easy challenge.

Rock on!

Back again with my 3rd card today (phew!). It's my turn to host the challenge at Fab 'n' Funky this week...which means I get to pick the theme :)) and as we're sponsored by the fabulous Kenny K this week it was an easy choice for me ...Music or inspired by a song, as I love their wonderful Rock images, and I have several of them :), I couldn't decide which one I liked the most...so I made a whole rock band! I used: Metal DrummerVikki Lee ViciousRock DudeGroove Dude and Star. coloured them all with copics, fussy cut and arranged them on my step card 'stage'. I added the two chip board shapes, covered with black glitter, to finish. I so enjoyed colouring these fantastic characters!
There's plenty more inspiration from my lovely teamies to be seen by clicking here, and I'll be so happy if you chose to play along with my challenge this week.
Thank you so much for visiting today, hope you like something you've seen!!

Christmas at sweet Stampin'...March Challenge

Good morning! The March Challenge is up and running over at Sweet Stampin' Christmas, it's anything goes as long as it has a Christmas theme. I went a little crazy with my Crazy Bird stamps (why are these so addictive to use??). I made card with a money holder envelope on the front ( lots of teens and young adults - mostly male- in the family, they always appreciate money gifts!) Once I'd made a template for the little envelope this was so quick to make- I made 2 more! I'll be so pleased I did later in the year!!

We'd be delighted to have you play along with us this month...so please just click here to hop over and join the fun!

Special Sister!

Here I am again...as promised (or do I mean threatened?!!:)) with my DT make for March's Challenge at Crafty Calendar, the theme is 'Mother's Day or Special Lady', so I thought I'd share the card I made for my lovely and very special sister's birthday last month. I made her a pop up box card, not made one of these for a while! The cute fairy is from That Craft Place and I chose to use her because her cheeky smile reminds me of my sister as a child! I've surrounded her with die cut balloons, bunting and lots of presents... my sister LOVES presents!! :))
There's some beautiful inspiration from my lovely teamies to be seen by hopping over here, we have a fantastic sponsor this month, Wild Orchid Crafts, so why not make something for your Mum or another special lady in your life, link it up with us and you could be the lucky winner of something gorgeous!
Thanks for visiting my blog today...hope you have a very wonderful weekend!

No Design Paper at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning...hooray, it's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. This week we challenge you to create something without using any design paper. You can make your own of course, using stamps stencils etc...but no 'bought' or downloaded papers please! So plenty of scope to get creative, as long as you include some stamping you can make whatever you like! I recently bought a set of tiny Cardio stamps, these are so dainty and pretty so this seemed like the ideal time to try them out. I swiped some green distress ink across a piece of white cardstock, then with a bit of masking here and there I randomly stamped the pansies and leaves using various colours of distress inks. I attached a narrow band of ribbon and then a smaller square of the same white cardstock embossed and with a die cut aperture. The butterflies are part of the same stamp set, one is stamped directly into the aperture, the other onto a spare piece of card and fussy cut . Sentiment stamp a magazine freebie.
We'd love to see what you make of this challenge, so please just click   here to check out the fabulous work of my fabulous teamies ..then get creating!
Thanks for visiting.... I'll be back later with another card!
