One circle. two buttons...

One circle, two buttons is the scrapbook sisters card challenge for this week. This is my attempt, you can't see all the circle but it is there! I used paper string to make the stitching- not a good idea, it's too stiff and the stitches went a bit wobbly! Ah well, we all make mistakes...

Just a tree

Good evening all. It's the end of another wet dreary day.... I keep reminding myself that we need the rain...but not all the time, surely! I'm so looking forward to the time when I can sit out in the garden after work, and watch the light change. I  love it when the light is starting to go and the trees are silhouetted against the darkening sky. I tried to create that kind of look with this card. It hasn't photographed well, unfortunately. The image is embossed with UTEE and the flash has reflected from the shiny surface, but hopefully you can see what I was trying to achieve! I love making these CAS cards, they really make me think!

Happy day...

Thought I would share this card today. The cute image is by Krista Smith (Saturated Canary). It's the first time I have used one of these images- she was great fun to colour! I used various random papers from my ever growing stash (where does it all come from/!!!), some ribbon, lace and a fuzzy brad. I stamped the sentiment onto a ready made kraft tag. Hope you like it! I am using it for these challenges

Ruby's lollipop!

It's been a pretty wet, miserable day here. I've spent most of it indoors with my 2 year old grandaughter, who has actually been very good all day despite not being able to go outside to play! She found this card on my desk and is thoroughly convinced that the smaller girl is her- on the receiving end of the lollipop. The stamp is by Sarah Kay. I have paper pieced the dresses and hats. I am using the card for these challenges

Simply charmed!

Here is my card for this weeks less is more challenge, another dodgy photo I'm afraid! ( the card is actually all white!). I have attached the charm with a small piece of tulle (and a couple of stitches). You just don't want to know how long it took me to thread the tulle through the tiny little hole at the top of the charm....

Feathers are fiddly things...

Hello again, hope you've had a good day.
This is a card I made using a ' Day for Daisies' digi that I recently bought (along with several others- they are all beautiful!!!) The photo does not do the colours justice, the feathers are a soft golden yellow brown not nearly as dark as they look here! They were also quite badly behaved when I tried to stick them down -bits of feather went everywhere apart from where I wanted them! I am using the card for these challenges:

paperpretties (Wed) 2 or more papers
CCEE 3 embellishments

That's it for now! Goodnight.

Make a wish

Here's my wish... I wish I had more time to play! Have been busy again this weekend (work does get in the way sometimes!) , but I had time to make this card for this week' s simplylessismoore challenge.
I used a stamp I haven't used before (a magazine freebie) stamped it 3 times without reinking it, masking the previous images, and added a bit of doodling to the circles - simples!
Have a good evening.

game on!

It's coming up to the time of year when all the family birthdays seem to be male- and I have a very large family! Between now and the beginning of June there are 9 male birthdays ( +3 for girls) so I thought I'd better get cracking on the "boy " cards! Why are they so much more difficult???? Any way this is the first of them, for my nephew, who loves his games machines! The image is Mo Manning (I just love the look on his face- seen that expression a few times!!!
I have decorated the inside of the card to match.

 Hope Liam likes it!

Less is definitely more....

Hope everyone is enjoying the Easter break, it's always lovely to have some time to relax, even if the weather is a bit disappointing! -and we do need the rain! Had a lovely family day yesterday, the Easter egg hunt was extremely popular with my small grandaughters! After everyone had gone home, and peace and quiet reigned once more, I had a little time to play, and made this card. I really wish I had stopped before I inked in the leaves- too late now!!

It's late...

It's getting late and I'm tired but not sleepy, so I thought I'd share this card - as we speak(type...?!) Maisie, my Great Dane (who is definitely old enough to know better1) is freaking out because she can hear foxy in the garden - no peace for the wicked!!!! Anyway, back to the card, I made a scrapbook layout earlier today -will share this later- using some beautiful Basic Gray papers, Phoebe, which I bought years ago and have never been able to bring myself to cut into, I used some of the left over scraps to make this card. The cute stamp is by Lily of the Valley and I used a sketch by the sweetstop. I would like to use this card for these challenges

Happy Birthday Daisy

Hello again! I made this card for Daisy,  my little great-niece (that really makes me feel old!).
The cute image is from Lili of the Valley and I coloured her with reddish hair as Daisy has the most beautiful red hair. Hope she likes the card.

A very busy weekend...

It's been a very busy weekend, we celebrated my elder grandaughters 5th birthday with the most amazing princess party! There were 30 little princesses running amok and a great time was had by all, she's one very lucky little girl, a real sweetheart so she deserves it! I was kept extremely busy face painting - it's very poular with small princesses!!
Now on to the card- I kept this fairly simple as the "day for daisies" digi is so lovely I wanted the focus to be on that. The papers are from a Prima pad and the daisies (seemed appropriate) are punches.
I'm using the card for these challenges:

littledarlingschallenges  outside
cardmad fairy  punches/diecuts
