Easter basket

Good morning, this week's challenge at Fab'n'Funky is up and running. The theme is 'Easter' and we're sponsored this week by Digistamps4Joy. The DT were given some lovely stamps to play with, I chose to use Egg Basket. I coloured the pretty image with my copics then fussy cut around it. I made a simple easel card placing my image on the embossed centre panel. I added some little chicks, die cut swirls and a few tiny pearls. I stamped the banner for the sentiment...then couldn't find  the only Easter sentiment stamp I possess, so I hand wrote it!

Here's my DT card for this week's challenge at Fab N Funky the theme, as you may just have guessed, is 'Christmas'. It's a JFF week with no sponsor or prizes although there are very desirable badges for our top 3! 

I made a very CAS card this week, featuring a jolly rockin' Santa from MFT, this stamp makes me smile! He's coloured with copics and dancing on a die cut Tim Holtz sentiment.

Enjoy Spring!

Good morning, we have a lovely new challenge starting today at Creative Moments with the optional theme of Spring! Spring is officially here even if it doesn't feel like it yet! I'm so looking forward to some warmth and sunshine, winter seems to have a lasterd a very long time this year!

Spread your wings

Hi, I'm back with my DT card for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', we have a really great theme for you this week...'use your scraps'! Now I always have loads of scraps of dp and card as I'm very reluctant to throw away anything larger than a postage stamp in case it could come in useful, but for this card I chose to use some of those scraps of white stamping card that are left from printing out digis...have loads of those too! I had a lovely time covering one scrap with Distress oxides. I stamped the  frame with black archival ink onto the inked scrap and cut it out (around the easy bits!). I stamped the same frame onto a larger piece of card that I'd spattered with the same coloured inks, then stuck the cut out frame on top. The sentiment was stamped onto a left over strip of the coloured card. Birds were die cut from a tiny scrap of black card. I'm happy with how this turned out!

March Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'

Well, where did that month go?? It's time for our third challenge of 2018 over at Christmas at Sweet Stampin...and at the speed this year is slipping by it's a good time to get ahead with those festive makes! Much less stressful than leaving it until November...or later!

Catch the Bug Saturday Challenge...Nature's wonders

Good morning, today I'm sharing my GDT card for this weeks Saturday Challenge at Catch the Bug.  The theme is 'Nature's Wonders...big or small', I went for small with these cute ladybirds. The image I used is Scene it - Ladybugs. It was such a pleasure to colour up this sweet image with my copics! I kept the design quite simple as this little scene really doesn't need a lot added to it. The little tag was a magazine freebie a long time ago. The tiny ladybird peg has been living in my cupboard (along with all her brothers and sisters!) for ages....

Creative Moments # 138

Good afternoon, hope your week is going well so far. My card today is my DT make for our new challenge at Creative Moments, the optional theme this week is feminine as the 8th March is International Women's Day. 

I used a pretty image courtesy of Scrapndipity, one of our lovely sponsors for this challenge. The image is called 'Wind in my hair'  (sorry link doesn't seem to be working) I coloured her with copics, then used a stitched circle die to cut her out,  I mounted this onto a slightly larger embossed circle of card. Two more efs were used to create the embossed background squares. I added the stamped die cut banner and some die cut butterflies.

I apologise for my lack of visits and comments this week, my Mum was rushed to hospital early hours of Saturday. We spent 12 hours in A & E waiting for a bed for her, not an experience I would wish on anyone. Happily, she is much better now and we're hoping she'll be home by the end of the week. Added to this I've had no internet connection since Friday night as we had a problem with our landline phone...not been a good few days.

Crafty Calendar March Challenge

Good morning, I'm a tad late with this post as the March Challenge at Crafty Calendar actually started yesterday, but better late than never! The challenge theme this week is 'add a tag...or make one' and our lovey sponsor this time is Oddball

I used an image I already owned - Tall bookstack. This comes with 2 digi images, I used the smaller one. I printed onto white cardstock then hand cut it into a tag shape. Coloured with copics and faux stitching around the edge. The papers were a magazine freebie, so perfect for this image, not sure where the circular 'like' stamp came from and the other sentiment is computer generated.

Lets get sentimental

Good morning and happy weekend. Our new challenge at Sweet Stampin' begins today and this time the theme is 'sentiment only'. I decided to make a bookmark for a change. I really need to make several more as I always have at least one book on the go and that sneaky bookmark-stealing-gremlin has been around and nicked all mine again! I'm using an old postcard at the moment but that will disappear soon...seriously don't know where they go!!!
Anyway, I stamped and white embossed my sentiment onto a scrap of white card then had a lovely play with my distress inks in shades of blue and purple, flicked a few drops of water over it and a scattering of chunky white embossing powder. I matted onto a slightly larger piece of sturdy black card and set a black eyelet to hang the tassel from. This is for my lovely friend who reads even more than I do, so I know it will be well used!
