Hearts & hugs


 Good morning, here's my DT make for our new 'Anything Goes' Challenge  starting today over at 
I made a fairly CAS card using a heart shaped mask (Visible Image) and a stencil (A&C). I unearthed the cute House Mouse stamp from where it had been languishing in my drawer full of older wood backed stamps, stamped him and coloured with Copics. I thought he needed something to catch so I used some tiny heart shaped stamps to make butterflies, drew their little bodies with a fineline  pen and added dots to their wings. A stamped sentiment to finish. Going to send this to my youngest granddaughter - she's a huge fan of hearts and butterflies- all her drawings are peppered with them!
(She's rather keen on hugs too!!)

    Hi Chris I thought I would just have a browse at what I have been missing, so glad I did, as always your blog is filled with such beautiful creations.
    This is especially sweet going to a precious granddaughter too. Love the heart and the butterflies but that little mouse is just the cutest, perfectly coloured too I may add. xx

    Very sweet Chris and sounds like it's perfect for your Granddaughter, equally so for our We Love Stamping theme, thanks so much for joining us.

    Bet your having a few muddy drenched walks, it's not stopped her for what seems like forever, today it's throwing it down and no respite. Seems Fleur's non too keen on wet conditions, all jabs done so can walk out in theory, but she just sits defiant looking at the door. So the furthest so far is across the paddock.

    The stenciled heart creates such a soft, glowing focal point, and the way you transformed the tiny hearts into fluttering butterflies is wonderfully inventive. The little mouse reaching up to catch them adds so much charm, especially with your beautifully blended coloring. This design feels playful and tender all at once, and it is easy to imagine how much your granddaughter will adore it.
