A snowman!

Good morning, it's my turn to host at Crafty Catz this fortnight, as always the theme is Anything Goes.

I made this card during the heatwave- trying to think cool thoughts! I added the two strips of patterned paper (very old!) to a panel of kraft card, then stamped the snowman (Woodware) in the centre, coloured him with pencils, stamped and embossed the sentiment. I used a white gel pen to add the 'snow'- quick and simple but another Christmas card for the box!

There's more inspiration at Crafty Catz, so please do hop over and take a look. Hope you can find some time to join us for this challenge.

Thanks for looking

Chris

  8. Your snowman looks wonderful against the kraft panel, and the way the patterned strips frame him gives the whole card a warm, homespun feel; the pencil coloring, embossed sentiment, and little gel‑pen snow details come together so nicely to create a simple but charming winter design.

  15. Hi Chris, just wanted to say how much I LOVE your card. Funny fact: I have that exact same snowman paper in my stash which has been there forever. I haven't cut into it because I love it - but I guess I should. Maybe seeing your card is my inspiration to use it.
