Not (at all) cute!

Good morning! Hope you're enjoying the weekend! A really quick post from me today to tell you about the new challenge over at Sweet Stampin. This week's theme is 'not cute' so it leaves plenty of scope! There's also a DT call at the moment so you really do need to pop over and take a look! This is THE most amazing team to be part of... everyone is so friendly and supportive!

I enjoyed making my card as I love a bit of ink and distressing, not too happy with the way it turned out though!!! Anyway, it certainly isn't cute!

Leaves

Good morning! Here is my DT card for this fortnight's challenge at Southern Girls. The theme this time is 'leaves', our sponsors are Delicious Doodles , The Retail Girl and Flourish with a Bling.
For my card I used the beautiful Ivy Fairy from Delicious Doodles (thank you very much!) She is coloured with copics, cut out and mounted onto a circle side step card. Her wings are painted with Perfect Pearls and curled slightly to add dimension. The ivy leaves are cut using a Marianne creatables die. The flowers with their beautiful pearl centres are courtesy of The Retail Girl.

Fruity pair!

 

Hello, good evening and welcome! This post is a bit late as I have had terrible problems with my computer! It was very poorly and had to be taken away to be mended!! I have been using an old and oh-so-slow!!! laptop (better than nothing at all!) but it wouldn't support my camera program so I couldn't upload any photos! -very frustrating! Still, all is well now, my lovely desktop is back where it should be and behaving beautifully!
Anyway, back to the card... it's my DT contribution to this fortnight's challenge over at Songbird Challenges. The song title this week is 'Strawberry Fields Forever' a Beatles classic, and the theme is fruit, we would lime to see some form of fruit on your cards, it doesn't have to be strawberries (just as well as I've used pears!) We are sponsored by Meljens Designs who gave us some lovely images to play with and I chose this cute pair (pear?)! There is a story behind the design of this card. A couple of weeks ago I spent a few hours with the lovely and talented Julie, we had a great time chatting and die-cutting! I cut the base for this card using her dies and machine and I'm pleased with the finished result -although it's not in her league , she is the die-cutting queen!!! I'd recommend anyone to pop over to Rainbowdays and check out her amazing creations!

Anything with an 'H'

Good morning, welcome back! Hope everyone's had a good week! It's officially summertime now so I hope somebody tells the weather! I'm off on holiday again soon and I would so like to have some sunshine this time!

This fortnight's challenge  at Hobbycutz is 'Something with an 'H' - very simple we would just like to see something beginning with H on your lovely projects! We are sonsored this week by the fabulous KennyK, who is offering a fabulous prize and there is as well the usual prize to be won from the Hobbycutz store, you don't have to use a Hobbycutz product to enter our challenge, but it's certainly an easy one this time if you do!!!

For my card I used the lovely Eva Pearl from KennyK, coloured with copics. She's cut out and mounted onto some gorgeous steampunk style papers from Kanban, the top one is cut in two,  I punched some holes  and laced  it back together. The gorgeous little cogs are from Hobbycutz.

Something sweet at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning! The sun is shining, the wind is blowing.... I am being deafened by the sound of wind chimes trying to escape! At least it isn't raining yet! Just hoping the wind drops so I can sit in the garden and read! If not I'll just have to stay indoors and craft, it's a hard life!
The new challenge at Sweet Stampin' is to make something sweet...and here's my card. The rather demented looking fairy is stamped, and coloured with copics . The large cupcake is treated the same way and then shaped to give it a bit of dimension. The tiny cupcakes were made with a free stamp from a magazine and the words on the bunting were part of the same set. Papers also a magazine freebie!

Good morning! I hope the week is starting well for everyone. The song title for our  new challenge at Songbird this week is '9 til 5' (Dolly Parton) and we would like to see a clock on your card.
The image on my card is a Sweet Pea stamp (one I've had for ages... I was a bit obsessed by these fabulous stamps a few years ago, but haven't used them for a while and forgot how lovely they are!) She's coloured with copics and I've added a touch of Perfect Pearls to the moth wings to make them shimmer. The clock is a Tim Holtz die.

Everyone needs a hero...

Good morning! Another fortnight has flown past and it's time for the new challenge at Hobbycutz. Our theme is 'Father's Day' and we would love you to share your masculine themed cards and projects with us.
My card was made using the cute Squaddie Scruffles image from Fairydustcrafts, who are generously sponsoring  us this fortnight. The film strip and hearts are both from Hobbycutz, I've used these lasercuts just as they come, but they are amazingly versatile and can be inked, embossed, painted, stamped, glittered... yes, you've got the idea! The background is stamped and embossed, and I handcut the little dog tags.

I want to ride my bicycle...

Good morning...this is a scheduled post... I am having a lie-in! Have been looking after my little granddaughters for a couple of days, they have been as good as gold but they do get up really early!!!! We have had a fabulous day on the beach, the sun shone for us .. I even dipped my toes in the sea... it was cold! and I loved every second of watching them hold hands and jump over the waves at the water's edge... magical! Now I am totally exhausted! You soon forget how totally relentless small children are...24/7!
Well, enough of the waffle, the card is my DT contribution for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin' -Fathers Day. I have cheated a bit as, sadly, my lovely Dad is no longer with us (but I always think of him on this special day). Instead I have made a card with my OH in mind... his birthday is coming up soon and he is an obsessive cyclist! As you can see it is a CAS design.. it speaks for itself!  In my defence the card would be equally suitable for Father's Day!
