Ding Dong!

Good morning! This is a scheduled post as I have my granddaughters 'sleeping over'! I really really hope that 'sleeping' is what they do....Ruby is a notoriously early riser... I  hate 5.30 am on a Sunday (or any other day come to that!). My plan is to let them stay up and 'help' with our guests until they can't keep their eyes open any longer then they might sleep in! Fabulous grandparenting skills!
Anyway, back to the card. This is my DT card for Hobbyhcutz Challenges, the theme is 'inspired by a song'. The image is courtesy of our lovely sponsor The Stamping Chef, and is titled 'ring my bell' so I didn't even need to think of a song! However, the song I couldn't get out of my mind is 'My ding-a ling'!!! (Hope it doesn't keep going around in your head now heh hee!). Because of the lyrics "silver bells hanging on a string, I added another bell behind the original image. She' s coloured with copics and glitter pens. The musical background is made using distress inks and a mask. The lovely flourish she's swinging from is a wooden lasercut from the Hobbycutz store, simply coloured with a black marker pen.
There's loads more inspiration for you to enjoy on the challenge blog, so hop over and take a look!
Have a great day!
Chris

  7. Gorgeous card hun, such a fun image :o) Hope your grandparent duties went well... I'm lucky if my mum has the kids for more than an hour, so I don't think I'd care how she did things if by some miracle she had them overnight lol! Hugs, Lisa x
