This card is made using a fabulous image from Delicious Doodles, (you can find it here) I coloured her with copics and framed her in some oval shaped die cuts which have been randomly stamped with some tiny gear and cog stamps. Various die cuts are added to the frame. The clock is a Debbie Moore stamp, coloured with copics, cut out and crackle glazed I love the effect of this! I finished it off with a few tiny pearls.
convalescing on the sofa!
Keeping said bandages dry is a bit of a problem as the local pet store doesn't stock waterproof booties in her size, so we have been covering them with plastic bags when she goes outside.... you never know when you're going to need 'a bag for life'! I wonder if they'll replace them for free now that they have holes in them!!!
She's been back to the vet today to have the stitches wounds checked, happily they are healing well! (She now has blue bandages....)
Well that's all for now, thanks for visiting, hope you have a pleasant evening.
Chris

What a superb Steampunk Mermaid Chris - I had to make two Steampunk Christmas cards and just loved doing them. Mind you I have only posted one on my blog so far. I think your card is so amazing, especially your colouring and those great 'twiddly' bits along the edge - wow!
ReplyDeletePoor Mathilda btw - she certainly looks settled on the settee - 'Peel me a grape' springs to mind!! Hope she feels better very soon.
Thank you so much for joining us at the OSSAT challenge this week, lots of luck to you.

Wow Chris, a Steampunk Mermaid ...well that title alone captivated me but what a wonderful card you have created from such contradictions in concepts (soft gentle mermaid vs. hard metallic steampunk elements). I am so taken with every aspect of this card but I must mention your clock .....what a brilliant sentiment and embossing the clock with gears and cogs then glazing makes me think of how time passes so quickly ...Once gone never to get back.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this lovely card in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx ( OSAAT Team )
What a lovely creation...like Ingrid I too love the card, the sentiment and embossing the clock. Wonderful creation. I am sending your dog some healing vibes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us this week at One Stitch at a Time. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful discussions. In addition, the ideal travel plus medical insurance system can often reduce those concerns that come with touring abroad. A medical emergency can in the near future become too expensive and that's sure to quickly impose a financial burden on the family finances. Putting in place the great travel insurance package deal prior to leaving is worth the time and effort. Cheers..
