Photo inspiration at Hobbycutz Challenges

Happy Sunday! This week at  Hobbycutz we have a photo inspiration challenge for you. Pink isn't really my favourite colour but I do like these gorgeous dusky shades and the deep burgundy/plummy colours. Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and we've been given some of their beautiful images to play with. I chose to use 'Miranda Sassy'.

I coloured the image with copics and paper-pieced her dress, cut her out and mounted her onto the backing papers using  sticky pads. The fabulous flourish is of course from the Hobbycutz shop. I embossed it with some lustre embossing powder, I think the colour is gorgeous!! The harlequin background was made using texture paste through a mask, then swooshing over the top of the paste with distress ink to add a bit of pink! part from the large rose, the flowers are handmade.
Thanks for looking, I hope you're having a peaceful and relaxing Sunday. Please take the time to check out the Challenge blog, you'll be delighted with my teamies' lovely creations and we'd love to have you play along with us this week.

  9. Hi Chris, what a great and lovely card. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and your loyalty, even if it was really quite from my side.

The colouration and the paper piecing is great and to put the girl 3D on the card is a fantastic effect.

    Hugs Claudia
