Good morning. Thursday once more and time for my last project as GDT for the lovely Hanna and Friends. This fortnight the challenge is one of my favourites... paper piecing. I used a Sarah Kay stamp, it was a freebie with a magazine ages ago and it lends itself beautifully to this technique! The little girls' dresses, apron and hats are all paper pieced. The patchwork background is made from die cut hexagons of the same patterned paper.
I'd just like to thank the lovely ladies from Hanna and Friends for giving me the opportunity to design for them, it has been a real pleasure. ReplyDeleteThis image takes me back many many years (too many to recall) when the Holly Hobbie images etc were so popular. I made a rag doll at the time to raffle for a church function. ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Chris - I love this image and have it in my collection. Your background is perfect for the image and as for the paper piecing, I honestly think you need the right paper to do this properly and you have certainly found them. They are gorgeous, I think your card is great.
