a little bird told me...


 
Good morning! It's time for a brand new challenge over at Southern Girls. This week the theme is 'punching above your weight' so we want to see you use those dies/ punches on your creations. We have two fabulous sponsors for this challenge OakPondCreations and Polkadoodles, so some lovely prizes on offer.
For my card I used the brilliant Edgar theRaven from Oakpond Creations. I coloured him with a mixture of copics and pencils, not too happy with the result but that's not Edgar's fault....I wanted him black and I think that's a bit beyond my skills -see I really am 'punching above my weight'!!! His eyes look a bit dodgy too, there's glossy accents on his monocle but it doesn't show in the photo just makes one eye look discoloured! I added various die cuts and punched musical notes, the sentiments are computer generated.

    I think Edgar looks very handsome and regal Chris, your colouring is great so are the dies and that embossed background, fantastic make.

    What a FABulous big guy he is Chris...LOving your colours and design..Great dies too.
    A fun sentiment and I LOve the fallen feathers inside! But, did he really have to be shot lol.

    Love the fun bird--and I can see the gloss on his monocle. I think you did a great coloring job--he definitely looks feathered! And the black with blue is a fab combo. Love all the pretty die cuts, the embossing, design, and wonderfully funny sentiment! :^)

    Oh, the image reminds me of a TV show when I was little, it's fabby. The sentiment is hilarious Chris, the feathers inside the card are a perfect touch!
