Die cut birdie

Good morning, happy Saturday and happy Halloween for those who celebrate it! As you can see, my card today has nothing to do with Halloween except I did 'treat ' myself to the Bird Crazy stamps and dies on a recent trip to a craft shop! I have been trying to resist ....but failed miserably ....again!
Our challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week is to use dies and/or punches on your project (and of course some stamping somewhere!). I used loads of dies to make this, the robin is stamped onto kraft, a bit of colour added with my pencils and then die cut using the matching die....so quick, so easy! His hat is stamped, coloured , glittered, cut out and stuck on . The sentiment is a Tim Holtz sizzix die. Ribbon and brad from stash.
We're hoping that you'll join us at   Sweet Stampin'  this week, there's a lovely prize on offer from our fab sponsor Live and Love Crafts and some wonderful inspiration to be enjoyed from my talented teamies! Just click here to take a look!
Thanks for visiting, enjoy the weekend!

Little angels!

Hi, I'm back again already with my card for the new challenge at Creative Moments. We're sponsored by the fabulous Rick St Dennis and the theme is 'anything goes'. After much deliberation and changing of mind I picked this cute image to use, best-frenemies, available here. I used copics to colour and paper pieced their dresses (surprise!). They're mounted onto a simple step card and embellished with various die cuts and a few gems. Sorry about poor quality of photo, light not at all good when I took it the die cuts are gold and white IRL but look a bit green in the photo, ah well, you get the idea!
Thanks for visiting, have a good day!

Christmas penguins

Good morning! Last wednesday of October, so it's time for a Christmas themed challenge at Fab 'N'Funky!  This week our challenge is hosted by our lovely Wends (her blog is well worth a visit!), and we're sponsored  by Inky Impressions who gave the DT some adorable digi stamps to play with.
My card is made using the very cute Merry Kiss-mas Penguins. I've coloured them with copics and paper pieced his jacket and her skirt.
If you haven't started to make your Christmas cards yet now is a very good time to start! Why not pop over to Fab N Funky Challenges now, there's some great ideas from the DT to get you started if you're lacking in inspiration, and of course we'd love to see your festive creations too!
Thanks for stopping by!

Merry mouse!

Good evening....it's been a glorious day here in this corner of England, warm and very sunny, went for a walk to enjoy the amazing autumn colours and take advantage of the weather....such a bonus this time of year!
I made this little card yesterday using the sketch from LIM. I'm starting to panic now that Christmas is drawing closer and I'm realising how many Christmas cards I haven't made, so CAS seems a sensible option!
The little mousie is coloured with copics and die cut with a stitched circle die, mounted onto a snippet of red card. I cut an aperture from my card blank and stuck the dp inside the card. The red border around the aperture is drawn on with a copic, the fine red border drawn with a fineliner. The sentiment is from a set of Woodware stamps. Really quick to do..., nice and flat to post...will make some more like this!
Thanks for visiting!

Busy week...

Good afternoon, a quick post from me at the end of a busy fun-filled week! Haven't had time for crafting at all - 2 birthdays...daughter and granddaughter, 2 dental appointments ...a lot of fun there...NOT!...,opticians, Mum sitting, a day looking after baby Emily because her other Grandma had a suspected broken leg...fortunately a sprain, not a break (but still very painful!). However did I have time to go to work???!
This is the card I made for my daughter. I bought the cute Mo Manning image ages ago with my daughter in mind, this so reminds me of her and my two older granddaughters, they love to do girly things together!
Hope everyone is having a lovely restful weekend!

Totally Wicked!

Good morning! There's a fabulous new challenge starting at Sweet Stampin' today, one I know that everyone will enjoy....it's to 'use an old stamp'.
There's been a lot of discussion over 'old' stamps amongst the Sweeties...and I'm sure, like us that you have stamps stashed away that haven't seen the light of day for some time....years even! I have to admit that I have no self control when it comes to stamps, I buy new 'must haves' even though I've got loads (some unused, shamefully). Anyway, I really enjoyed sorting through my 'oldies' and rediscovered this quirky cutie! I did use her loads of times when I bought her (before the days I started blogging!) and I loved colouring her again. She's a Moonlight Whispers (Krafting Kimmy) stamp, I don't think she's available any longer(shame!.) I stamped her on kraft paper and used my pencils to colour her, then mounted her so she looks as if she's stepping out from the frame....creepy! I added some die cut cobwebs  to my simple LO. The sentiment is computer generated.
Now I know you're going to enjoy rooting through all those long neglected stamps, so I'm looking forward to seeing lots of fabulous entries this week!! If you're stuck for inspiration there's plenty to be seen from my lovely teamies by clicking here. If you need any further incentive to play along the prize this week is none other than a Sweet Stampin' Goodie Bag! Yay!!!
Thanks for visiting
have a great weekend

Make it square!

Told you I'd be back! Here's my card for this week's challenge at Fab N Funky. This week the theme has been chosen by our lovely and very talented Pat and it's a really easy one 'make it square'!
I've used Rory - What a Great Life, a cute digi from Lacy Sunshine, our sponsor this week. I've coloured her with copics. The papers are Prima, and the tiny tags LOTV.
Hope to see loads of you joining us at Fab N Funky this week for this lovely easy challenge!
Thanks for visiting today, hope life is good!

Festive celebrations!

Good morning, two cards from me today...this one is for our new challenge at Creative Moments, this fortnight our optional theme is 'Spots or stripes' and we're sponsored by the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps, I love these digis -there's something for everyone here! I used one of my favourites to make this card JJ Christmas Cheers available here, she's such a fun girl, really knows how to enjoy herself! I used copics to colour my image adding just a tad of glossy accents to her wine glass and the spilled (tut!) wine. The papers were mainly freebies from a magazine. Phew, another card for the Christmas box...can't believe how rapidly it's approaching!
Will be back later with the second card!

Celebrations!

The theme this fortnight at Southern Girls is 'Celebrations'...something with lots of scope for everyone! Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings , new baby....to name but a few! My card is a simple birthday card featuring a pretty image courtesy of Art by Miran one of our lovely sponsors for this challenge. I  kept the design fairly simple, layering my coloured -with- copics- and- fussy- cut image on top of the dp and adding a piece of twine to her balloon.
The Southern Girls would love to see you play along this fortnight, and there are some lovely prizes on offer from Art by Miran  and Lacy Sunshine so why not pop over and join the fun!
Have a lovely day

Bewitched

Good morning...err afternoon, where did those hours go??? O/H was away over the weekend, so in between walking and feeding Mathilda and visits from the granddaughters, I had a bit of a colouring fest! Here's one of the cards I made using 2 fantastic images from The East Wind. I've been looking forward to colouring the main image, which I was lucky enough to win in a previous challenge, for some time...I knew that amazing hair would take some time to do...I was right...but I like the way it turned out! I used a mix of copics and polychromos.
I printed her head-dress twice so that I could cut out the rose and add a scrap of tulle and a feather underneath it. I embossed the 'frame' with a swirly e.f. and added some aged silver frantage, some green seed beads and some glittery die cuts.
The second image is this months freebie, who could resist a gorgeous baby dragon? He's coloured with copics too with a touch of gold mica to his wings and spines (doesn't show in the photo but it's lovely and shimmery)

I really enjoyed creating this hope, you like it!
Thanks for visiting
have a good week.

Boo!

Back again with my project for this month's challenge at Crafty Calendar! The theme this month is 'Halloween', and I decided to make something other than a card....so I made a coffin! It's made from card and painted black, nailheads all around the edges of the lid (wouldn't want anything to get out ) and a little wooden ghostie on top.

But wait...the lid opens and out jumps this terrible scary Drac Lewis...hope no one has nightmares!!
He's attached to the base of the coffin with a black paper 'spring', so when the lid is lifted he pops up, I think it will amuse the granddaughters! (Especially when I fill the 'coffin' with sweeties!)
There are some gorgeous spooky creations from the rest of the DT to be enjoyed by visiting the challenge blog, and the prize this month is a $12 voucher from our lovely sponsor Di's Digis, so what are you waiting for  ...get cracking on those Halloween makes!
Thanks for visiting today

Wheels!

Good morning! My first card today is for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin' , the theme of which is 'wheels'. I used a fantastic image from Kenny K, which I've had for ages and never used before...I have to say I loved colouring this! The design is quite simple, I cut a hole in the dp, then snipped into the edges of it and folded back the 'points' allowing the image to 'burst through! The rosette and sentiment are cut from dp too!
I have to say I'm impressed with the variety of cards from team Jacky this week....they all follow the theme of wheels but everyone seems to have such a different take on it...but don't take my word for it, pop over here and have a look for yourself!!! We'd love to see what you make of this challenge too, so why not play along....you could be the lucky winner of the much coveted Sweet Stampin' Goodie Bag!
Thanks for looking, happy weekend!
