Looking for Mr Right

A little late, but here's my card for our new challenge at Creative Moments, the optional theme this fortnight is Romance /Love, sponsored by BloobelStamps and Crafty Sentiments, who are both offering some fabulous prizes.
I was delighted to receive this fun and funky image from Bloobel Stamps to play with, he's called Heart Spring and is available here. I coloured him with my copics, cut him out and stuck him on top of the die cut heart, also colored with copics. The sentiment is computer generated. The background is made using a MB die, cut several times from a piece of white card. I added a simple doodled border and matted it onto black card to show through the die cuts.

Now to explain why my card is late, it has not been a good week. On Monday my husband had a very nasty encounter with a circular saw. The saw won. He cut 4 fingers on his right hand very badly...severed tendons and nerves. Our local hospital couldn't deal with the damage so Tuesday was spent getting him to East Grinstead Queen Victoria Hospital. They were going to operate that night but a major emergency postponed it until Wednesday morning. I spent the day on tenterhooks waiting for news, finally at 9pm I was told he was in recovery and that the op had been successful.
Meanwhile, whilst walking our Great Dane (normally his job!) I had an accident. A (stupid) woman dropped two white binbags over the wall just behind Mathilda as we were passing. Mathilda is a real wussie, thought she was being attacked and panicked...pulled me over and then jerked her lead out of my hand and ran into the busy road. I ran out after her and stopped the traffic...people were probably terrified of the demented woman standing in the middle of the road waving her arms and shrieking!
Mathilda wouldn't come back -just legged it home-but fortunately the drivers were aware of her and nothing nasty happened. A very kind man- in a-van, followed her, found her sitting on my doorstep, shut her in my porch and came back and got me. I will always be grateful for his kindness, he even went and found the lens that had been knocked out of my specs when I fell and returned that to me! Such a hero, he deserves a medal.

Please bear with me over the next few days/weeks for the lack of visits and comments, now I know that Geoff is going to be ok I'll try to keep up with DT commitments etc, but I somehow think that when I do get him home I'm going to be somewhat busy for a while...!

Hope your week has been better than mine, keep away from saws and large scared dogs!
Chris
