Good morning, welcome to the weekend! I really don't know what happened to the last week, didn't seem to have time to get anything done...probably because I was inseparable from the TV and Wimbledon, well apart from the time spent with my girlies! I looked after my two year granddaughter on Thursday...I tried very hard to convince her that tennis was fun to watch but I'm afraid Wimbledon couldn't compete with Peppa or Paw Patrol....two year olds can be very loud...we watched Peppa ( not for too long, don't think too much tv is good for the littl'uns!) I even made my poor Mum watch for a while on Wednesday (tennis not Peppa) don't think she was too excited about it though!
Anyway, enough waffling on....my card today is for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', the theme is 'Sentiment as focus NO image', and our lovey sponsor this week is Crafts and Me. This is a really quick and simple make (as you can see) apologies for the shadows on the photo!
Hope you find time to play along with us this week.
Chris

What's gorgeous is this birthday card! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery nice card Chris, lovely style. Afraid I am not a tennis fan, hubby loves to watch it but I prefer to not do so...the ooos and ahhhs they make annoys me.xx
ReplyDeleteI agree with Annie about tennis, but LOVE your card. CarolG
ReplyDeleteTbh I'd just as soon watch Peppa as Tennis so i'm with your granddaughter on this one! Gorgeous card hon, enjoy your weekend xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Chris really like the design. I know what you mean about last week I have only done the essentials around the house and been glued to the tennis every afternoon, looking forward to the match tomorrow.

Noe my favourites were Charlie and Lola and the song on CeeBeebie's Now's the time to say goodnight, as soon as that came on he knew he had to go to bed.
ReplyDeleteBrillaint card, I hate this type of challenge, we have had it a couple of times at Allsorts and I struggle but is looks like it was easy peasy to you, great make.

Great card Chris - I love the whole effect - as for Wimbledon, football any sport I always watch when I can - athletics are my fave and can't wait for the Olympics (we'll be in Florida but at least in the same time zone!) - hope you got to see Andy today without theaddition of Peppa lol hugs Judith x

ReplyDeleteHAHA, I'm with your granddaughter on this one, you wouldn't be able to get me to sit still and tennis either! lol. Wonderful card Chris, love the neutral palette and the fishtail banners! Fantastic! hope you had a great weekend! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, 2 year olds and Tennis, nope, don't think that one works, LOL. Love that you tried though! Hope you did get to catch a few games anyway. I still recall our Peppa Pig days, the kiddies do love that oinking silly show don't they?! Love your card for this challenge Chris. The neutral palette is fabulous and the fishtail banners are brilliant. Love the sentiment too. How fab you had matching buttons in just the right tones too! Love it. Hugs, Wends xoxo

ReplyDeleteSuch a stylish card - the papers add just the right amount of colour to let the sentiment take centre stage xx
ReplyDeleteHi Chris I must admit I love these uncomplicated cards they still hold detail and a creativity that is fabulous, sometimes I think they are more difficult than the more elaborate ones, I love the colours you have used and that the sentiment is the focus, a terrific make
