Crazy bird house




Good morning! This is my scheduled post for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', the theme this week is 'anything but a card'- sponsored by Live and Love Crafts- so I thought I would share the moneybox I decorated for my (crazy) sister's last birthday.
I painted the mdf box with acrylics then decorated with distress inks and stamps, the Crazy Birds and flowers are stamped onto card then cut out and glued to the box. The little notice in the bird's beak is handwritten . The roof tiles are cut from grunge paper and coloured with distress ink, it was quite fiddly arranging them so that you could still put money in the slot! Hope you like it - Crazy Barb did!

    Awesome Chris..Fabulous colouring on your crazy birds and birdhouse..what a great idea for a money box and love the tag the bird is holding..such a fun project.

    Brilliant make and love the use of the crazy birds, must admit till I read on, thought you had made an error with the spelling of birds, must have taken ages. Love the colours, paints and stamps you have decorated the box with.

    WoW! This is one work of 'bird' art Chris..
    FABulous colours and so much fun!! LOve how you've got one little bird holding the sign lol..He sure isn't excited about being there..I LOVE IT.
