Spooktacular!

The new challenge starting at Creative Moments today has the optional theme of 'spooktacular'. I made my DT card using a fun smiling spider digital  image courtesy of Eureka Stamps, one of our fabulous sponsors for this challenge....he's not really scary but apologies to any arachnophobics who may drop in...in fact here's a warning that this post is very spider-heavy! To make the front of my card I printed the spider quite large, coloured his eyes and mouth and drew around him with a bright green copic, then cut him out, he's mounted onto a strip of acetate which is attached between the layers on the card, so he bounces about a bit. The purple digi paper was a freebie, can't remember where from. The background is black cardstock with die cut cobweb s and a few googly eyes attached,  I tore some small pieces of cardstock, coloured with the green copic and stamped the sentiments.
To make the inside I printed the spider in various sizes (the beauty of using digis!)  onto some blue/purple paper, then used a die cut web as a stencil, the eyes are drawn with a white gel pen. My granddaughters loved this card!

There's some more spooktacular fun to be enjoyed  over at Creative Moments so why not hop over and take a look? We'd love to have you play along with us this challenge and there are some lovely prizes to be won from our fab sponsors this time, Eureka Stamps and Dr Digi.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, have a great day!
Chris

  1. Coming to take a quick peek at this awesome card before my daughter wakes up (ok, she's a teen, that could be 5 or 6 hours yet! lol), as she's one of those that's not too fond of spiders.
Personally, I don't mind them, and in this case, I LOVE 'em! I love how it looks like he could glow in the dark (my daughter's worst nightmare, I'm sure...).
also, I've been looking everywhere for spooky dies... Where is the cobweb one from? x

  14. Aren't digis so much fun? The possibilities are almost limitless. Great job putting the spider to use in so many ways. It's great that you made him wiggly too.
Thanks for playing along this week and I hope to see you back again soon. Good luck!
