A thank you card


I'm back with my DT make for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin'...the theme this time is 'anything but a birthday'. 
This card wasn't at all what I had in mind when I set out to make it...but this is how it turned out! I used a set of floral stamps from Polkadoodles, Eleganza, stamped and masked a selection of them on the bottom right hand corner of my white cardstock, then coloured with copics. I die cut the sentiment several times from white card and the 'thank' once from the same dp as the mat, then layered them together and adhered them in place.

    Fabulous Chris..love the floral stamps and colouring and the die cut "YOU"..is great with that thickness..I try that and end up in such a mess, I think my glue is too tacky and I need some that slides around a bit..

    I keep saying to myself I must buy more sentiment dies and then edn up buying something else instead.

    Chris such a beautiful thank you card. I love it when something turns out different from how we began and evolves into something really lovely.     Oh I've been there, Chris. I've begun a card with one thought in mind and somehow it took over and insisted on being made quite another way. Love the direction your card took. The design is lovely as are those wonderful flowers. Great selection of colours, too. And having the sentiment angled like that was a brilliant choice.
