Good morning and happy weekend, our challenge theme this week at Sweet Stampin' is 'Father's Day'. I'm sharing the card I made for my husband's birthday ...his birthday is in June as is Father's Day...he LOVES June. our son and daughter do not!!!
I used a fabulous set of stamps from Hobby Art to make my card, hubby is a keen cyclist so these stamps really appealed to me! I stamped the focal image and coloured with copics, stamped it again and cut out the sentiment banners, attached them over the originals using Pinflair glue to add a bit of dimension. I stamped the bottle 3 times , coloured with copics and cut those out too. The pocket watch is die cut and I added a couple of wooden cogs. The gorgeous steampunk background papers are 'Alchemy' by Kanban...I've hoarded these for quite a few years! His birthday was yesterday and he loved the card!
My teamies have made some fabulous masculine cards to inspire you this week, why not hop over here and take a look .
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend
Chris

A great masculine card and fabulous design! That sentiment is terrific!
ReplyDeleteChris, this is so fabulous hun! I bet your hubby loves it! Especially being a cycling image. That's so cool to be able to personalise a creation so well. I love that about our hobby. Hope he enjoys 'his' June, even if the kids don't, hehe. It's always a trick to try and find the perfect thing for the men who seem to have everything, I feel for them! Stunning steampunk creation and yay for using your long hoarded Kanban papers, bet that felt good! Hugs, Wends xoxo
