Believe in your dreams...

I'm so excited to be writing this post today, a while ago I was invited to be a guest designer for Aurora Wings...of course I accepted...I was thrilled and honoured to be asked to design something with Mitzi's beautiful images and to work alongside the amazing AW DT.
The theme this month is 'Once Upon a Dream or Nightmare' and I gave this a lot of thought, leaning towards a darker themed card, but somehow this little wall hanging is what happened!.
I painted an MDF heart with gesso, then used Distress inks in shades of deep blue to colour the background, adding Nuvo Glimmer paste through a stencil. The wording is hand written with a white gel pen. I coloured the beautiful Stars image using copics and glitter gel pens, then fussy cut it, adhered it in place. I added crushed glass glitter round the edges and a few die cut stars.
The hanging stars are die cut and attached with beaded wires.
I hope you like my project, I had a lot of fun making it.

    wowow Chris, this is talented designed wall hanger. Just love your colouring and I can see you being a fantastic GD for Aurora Wings...congrats. This almost looks like a metal work of art. Can't take my eyes off this Chris, it's just stunning...xxx

    OMG, Chris! We're absolutely THRILLED to have you as Guest Designer and I'm blown away with this stunning project! The depth of color and contrast in the image is amazing and it looks as though it was painted directly on the gorgeous heart hanger. Such beautiful detail all around, including the hand written wording. The glass glitter and hanging stars are icing on the cake. What a sweet dream of a project. FABULOUS work!
