Good afternoon, hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend - weather here not great, keeps chucking it down with rain...but there IS some sunshine in between! Hoping for better next week!
Our optional theme at Sweet Stampin' for this week is 'Teacher Appreciation', I think it's a lovely theme choice...teachers should be appreciated! My daughter is an early years teacher and I know how hard she works and what kind of problems she has to deal with on a day to day basis.
Despite liking the theme I did struggle a bit, my granddaughters will make their own thank you cards for their teachers! So I made a tag which can be tied to gift or used as a bookmark.
I die cut a large tag from white cardstock and used my Distress Inks to colour it. I cut a heart shape from copy paper to mask the centre and stamped around the edges with my lovely Lavinia stamps. I used some old alphabet peg stamps to stamp the sentiment., added a die cut swirl and some ribbon.
There's more inspiration from my teamies over at Sweet Stampin' and we'd love to see your take on this theme!
Thanks for visiting
Chris
A lovely tag and a wise sentiment, Chris. Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag Chris, gorgeous colours and I love your sentiment. Sorry you have rain, we have had sunshine all day - got all my washing dry!!

What a gorgeous tag and such a true sentiment. Thanks for joining us at the Alphabet Challenge. Love Dawn x
ReplyDeleteLove this beautiful tag and the sentiment is absolutely perfect! Thank you for joining us at W2CB!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous mix of colours and a really super heart but the sentiment is so apt but inside it should also add but even bigger heart to deal with the Mothers. I have just been given Austins list of teacher that he wants cards for, four in all, Ethan only wants one for his form teacher. The women are no problem but Austin has one male.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

This is gorgeous colouring with your distress inks Chris and the sentiment is lovely. We've had rain all day, on and off too - Michelle x
ReplyDeleteChris that is a wonderful tag for a teacher gift. So we both have daughters that work with the young children. I am used to working with the elderly so it's interesting because I have no desire to deal with children/parents. So we have to support our talented daughters.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous creation Chris. LOVE the inky design. Perfect sentiment and beautiful colours. A lovely Teacher's Appreciation creation hun. Hugs, Wends xoxo

ReplyDeleteHi, Chris! How clever of you to make a bookmark/gift tag for this teacher challenge... and such a pretty bookmark/gift tag! I'm sure the teacher recipient will love receiving it. Thanks so much for playing with us at Words 2 Craft By... and hope your daughter has a wonderful summer break. As a former teacher, I truly appreciate all that teachers do for their students... and how hard they work. :)
