Good morning, at Sweet Stampin' this week we're celebrating the Summer Solstice with summer themed cards. It's hard to believe that midsummer has officially passed...hopefully we WILL get some summer sunshine soon!
I made a twisted easel card featuring this cute little guy from Mo Manning, I think he may have been the first digi I bought from her store. He's coloured up with copics, I gave him some grass to stand on and if you look closely you'll see the cloudy background...looks fine on the card but hard to see in the photo.
The little kite acts as a stopper to keep the card upright.
Hope you choose to join us at Sweet Stampin' this week we'd all love to see some sunny, summery creations.
Have a lovely weekend
Chris

Wonderful card! I have never made a twisted eaasel...at least not that I can remember! I love the dimension of the sun, clouds and his head fussy cut and over the edge of the fold. Your coloring is beautiful- and so fun to add the kite on the bottom aka the ground.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun and fabulous creation Chris. I hope the sun has been shining for you this week. We've had such a mild start to our Winter, but it's been proper cold the past few days. Heaters are on, winter woollies tightly wrapped around us. Brrrrr, I'll be happy for some sun again! LOVE the card design on this one hun, that's so clever and so effective with the kit theme. Fabulous! Such a cutie of Mo's designs too. Love it! Hugs, Wends xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis card is fabulous. I have pinned this great folded card. Lovin the way you have the sun showing over the edge.
ReplyDeleteHaving a pretty good day with my knee. being able to sit and catch up on blogs for 20 minutes or so feels so good. Have to spend some time icing it after as it takes a while before the knee likes to sit tightly bendt for very long. If you can call partly bent, tightly bent! But that is how it feels...hahaha
Super cool!!! I love twisted easel cards!! And this one is bright and fun! Beautiful coloring! Thanks so much for joining us for our June Challenge at Mo's! Hugs, Pat Frank
