Add a doily at Fab'n' Funky

Good morning, hope your week is going well...mine is going fast! I don't seem to have done anything much (apart from normal boring housework and cooking!) and it's the middle of the week already. At least the weather's been dry, the fence is mended-hooray!- and I had a nice  walk in the sunshine down to the library yesterday. Our nearest library is closed for building work and refurbishment, which is good news- they can't be planning to close it, so I walked to the next nearest which is only about 2 miles...and it's downhill! Being an avid reader and not a fan of electronic reading devices, give me a real book anyday, I'd be lost without the libraries (or very poor!).
Anyway onto today's card...over at Fab'n' Funky our lovely N-Eva has picked the theme of 'add a doily', have to admit it's not something I think of doing very often and I have loads of them! I made a little circular rocker card and tucked the doily between the layers. The sweet little fairy is Stamping Bella, she's coloured up with copics, loads of glitter on her wings. I attached two small bows with brads, added some tiny die cut flowers with pearl centres. The sentiment is stamped and embossed with white EP.
Well, if you're like me and have loads of doilies lurking around neglected, why not hop over to Fab'n' Funky and see how the team have used theirs. Hope you choose to play along and share your ideas too.
Thanks for visiting, I'll be back later today with another card.
xx

  3. A gorgeous card Chris so pretty and love the colour.
I agree with you, not good at reading on device's, love a good book and you can't beat the feel of a book. Our nearest Library is to far for me now so I am a Wordery fan, they do some good buys if your ever stuck..xx

  4. A FABulous design Chris.
I LOve this sweet image and gorgeous colours.
Glad you fence is fixed, even though the fun must have stopped!
There's nothing like the 'feel' and 'smell' of books. Must admit I've bought
a couple on my Kindle, but, it doesn't work for me. Plus we must keep using Library's or we will loose them!

  6. 2 miles down hill but 2 miles up hill coming back!?
Such a sweet image and really lovely shades of blue and purple, great circle card, I am into them a bit at the moment and I am trying to use different colours this year and use up (get rid) of smaller cards.
I don't have any doilies, never bought any, don't know why.

  12. This is just adorable, what a sweet little image. I'm with you, give me a real book any day of the week. The kids bought me one of those digital book things but it doesn't even see the charger, never mind me lol.

I do love a good book but I start to read then I nod off, just too much going on for me to sit and read BUT in 68 days I will be retiring and looking forward to staying awake and having a good read..
