I haven't been looking forward to writing this post as I hate goodbyes, but this will be my last creation for Christmas at Sweet Stampin'. I have had a wonderful time as part of this amazing team and made some lovely friends, who have been so supportive and such fun to work with- I was a very new crafter when I first joined the team at Sweet Stampin', ( the 'big sister' blog) and had no confidence , their encouragement and friendship will never be forgotten.
Lovely Wends and I are the last Sweet Stampin' team members, and as we are both saying our goodbyes there is no longer an affiliation with CaSS and it's been decided to close down the challenge blog.
However- it's not all bad news- the good news is that the remaining team, a very lovely and talented bunch of ladies!, are opening up a brand new Christmas Challenge, you will find the details HERE.
Also, to say their own goodbyes, Susan, and Tracy, and Abi have joined us this month, for one last time.
The challenge theme this month is Clean and Simple.
I made this card in green
I liked it it was quick and easy , so I made it again in pink!
The background is a small Inkylicious splat stamp, smooshed with Distress inks and spritzed I laid the cardstock on top of the inky stamp instead of stamping down because I was a bit too enthusiastic with the water...and it dripped, but I like the effect. The tree and sentiment stamps were free with a magazine some years ago, they're beautiful and stamp perfectly. If you look closely you can see I added tiny gems to the trees, looks so pretty when it catches the light!
Please do join us at Christmas At Sweet Stampin' for this final farewell.
Apologies to my team that this post is a little later than I planned. I'm struggling to move around much at the moment as I have a very painful right leg, and everything takes longer than usual! Off to the Doc's later, hope he has a magic wand!
Thanks for stopping by today
Chris

Absolutely gorgeous in both colours Chris, a stunning card and how fantastic to be working alongside you once more. I really loved reading your little bit about how the SS family has encouraged you. It is too easy not to realise the influence & support we inadvertantly give to another person but i'm proud & delighted to have been a small part of all that. Huge hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful colourways Chris, gorgeous stamp and sentiment, sorry to read the blog is closing but will visit the new one
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Chris, I love them, gorgeous designs and so sorry your challenge blog is closing, it is hard to say goodbye and hope the DR can ease your pain, take care.

What a fabulous card for our last challenge. I LOVE the pink version - just don't tell Susan :) It's been so lovely to work with you and hope that we will again one day. Hoping that the doctor can work his magic on your leg - you need to be able to keep up with those girls of yours! xxx
ReplyDeleteI can see that comment Tracey.....
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Chris, although I do have a favourite.
I'm so glad that you are with SS and so privileged to call you a friend. I loved sharing the festive journey with you at CASS and toasting us now as we all walk off in to the sunset.xx
PS hope all went well at docs xx
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous creations, a really lovely design and a gorgeous tree, super CAS cards and a great sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI did look closer and spotted the gems.
Hope the Doctor has waved his magic wand.
It is just after 9.20 p.m. and we have just had half an hour of such a strong wind and a huge down pour at least it was in the evening and not during the day, where is it all coming from?

Aww hun, your creations are BOTH delish. I love the pink, but you know I'm a green girl at heart, so that's my absolute fav', but they're both seriously delish!! I count it an absolute privilege to be walking off into the sunset with you and our other gorgeous Sweeties. How lucky we are to have such a close knit crafty community at Sweet Stampin', it's so sad to see the Christmas blog go, but I think Charlotte and the rest of the team will totally rock the new challenge and it was definitely the right thing to close CaSS. Hoping the doc has you sorted and you're feeling a bit better already, I have been off work the last couple of days with a very sore back and horrid throat cold. So I totally empathise!! Huge hugs my darling pal, Wends xoxo
ReplyDeleteAlways sad and hard to say those goodbye's but at some time we must do it...you have made wonderful creations for the team over the past and these two beautiful projects speak for them self.
ReplyDeleteHope your leg is okay and nothing that can't be fixed..
