Hello, hope those of you in the UK are enjoying this wonderful weather we're experiencing this Easter weekend. I've been in the garden today, planting up some seeds (I definitely do not have green fingers so probably a waste of time and effort- but you never know!). Spent some time in the 'reading chair' too! which is why I'm a bit late with today's post.
Our new challenge at Sweet Stampin' has the fun theme of 'the great crafty bake-off'- basically we would like to see yummy food on your creations.
My first thought for this theme was CAKE! Been eating far too much of it since the lockdown...it will have to stop! I even did some baking, which I rarely do these days unless the granddaughters are visiting...
To make my card I used an adorable image from Mo Manning... this one was a Patreon freebie last month. So reminds me of my second granddaughter, Ruby when she was tiny- she had to be involved in whatever her big sister was doing even though the mixing bowl was bigger than she was!
I used various papers from stash, the cupcake one was a magazine freebie, some scraps of blue cardstock embossed with hearts, a couple of die cut banners and a stamped sentiment.
There's loads of inspiration for you over at Sweet Stampin', where my lovely team have been busy cooking up some gorgeous cards!
Why not play along this week- this kind of 'baking' is calorie free!
Thanks for stopping by
Stay safe and well and enjoy the rest of the weekend
Chris

Cute card, Chris. Adorable image and I love the papers. I've made more cakes in the last three weeks than I've probably made in the last six months. At least it's keeping my hubby happy! xx
ReplyDeleteChris this is adorable. Great coloring. Always love a Mo image and that is just so cute. Glad you were able to get outside....we had it rainy. We need that to get our flowers to grow. Good luck with the garden...I don't attempt one I have too many trees and shade. Have a wonderful Easter well at least have chocolate, lol.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE the image you chose for this Chris! How perfect is this?! LOVE your fabulous colouring and paper choices too! I have a well loved gingham tablecloth that's in constant use in our dining room so this just made me smile SO much! Not sure if my thank you message reached you for my birthday card hun. I LOVE it! Beautiful card and I SO have to sneak the hair combo you used, because sigh, it's just perfect! LVOE that gorgeous card to bits and it's hanging on my card string in the dining room right now where we can all see it. After that, it will come down to my crafty space. So special thank you hunny, SO much!! Hugs, Wends xoxo
