A wish...

New Releases!

Tuesday is new release day at Catch the Bug, I made a card featuring this week's JJ with her vacuum cleaner. The image does come with a sentiment but this one is computer generated!
I used some oddments of design paper from my stash and added some die cut buttons which I've made by layering them up and covering with glossy accents (quite pleased with these as they look realistic!)
I wish I did enjoy cleaning...but I don't! It always seems such a waste of time when I could be reading or crafting...and you I know that it'll all need doing again the next day- joys of living with a large dog (and a husband!)

have a good day

Frosty Friends

Good morning, hope your week is going well- we've had beautiful weather here so far- yesterday was really hot- so I spent most of it in the garden (in the shade) reading- it was too warm to do much else- that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
I'm so pleased that the libraries are going to be re-opening in July- wasn't too bothered about shops but I'll definitely be prepared to queue for books!
As it's the last Wednesday of the month it's time for our Christmas themed challenge at Fab'n' Funky, this week our very talented Pat K is hosting.
I made a bridge fold card, featuring a cute digi, Be Sparkley and Cotton Tail from digi Doodle Studios. I made them a snowy scene using embossing folders, die cut trees and snowflakes.
My stash of Christmas cards is growing (slowly- but better than not at all!)-why not join us this week with a Christmas themed project and grow your Christmas stash too, you will find some lovely creations from the team to inspire you over at Fab'n' Funky.
Thanks for visiting

Got the Blues...

Good morning, here's the card I made for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin'
the theme being 'Got the Blues'- to be interpreted any way you choose!
I took the obvious option and went for the colour!
Out came the Distress Inks and Distress Oxides- I indulged in some smooshing , sponging and flicking with  the inks and water onto a piece of white cardstock to create a background (had lovely blue fingers for a while).
Out came the Lavinia stamps- some old, some new, I stamped the Winifred Fairy with black Versafine Clair ink and then  die cut the frame, cutting around the fairy stamp first. I stamped the script and swirls randomly over the frame and added some sparkle to the fairy wings.
The little scene inside the frame was created using the rest of the inky cardstock and various Lavinia stamps, details picked out with a white gel pen.  After adding the frame to the card base it looked a little bare so I added another fairy and stamped some swirls and 'fairy dust' .
I haven't added a sentiment as I love to use these cards as 'just because' cards and notelets.
There's always loads to see and be inspired by at
so do take the time to visit-
we'd really love to see what you create too,  just follow the theme  and remember to add some stamping to play along
Thanks for visiting and have a lovely weekend

You're Fabulous!

Good morning...some how it's Friday again...don't know how, you'd think time would pass more slowly not faster right now! Anyway, Friday means a new challenge at Crafty Catz , this week our lovely Jac picked the theme of 'Black and White + one other colour' to inspire the team.
Our sponsors for this week are
LITTLE BLUE BUTTON STAMPS

and

I used a beautiful sponsor image, Mixed Media Pin-up, coloured her with copics. A you can see I chose orange for my + 1.
I've had the beautiful Dp for many years, it's double sided with the same pattern on each side, but with the colours reversed, I added a small strip of the reverse side across the image underneath the orange ribbon. I added a black tulle bow topped with a blingy thingy , some black pearls and a stamped sentiment.
As always there's loads to inspire you over at Crafty Catz, where my super- talented team mates have again produced some gorgeous creations, so please do pay us a visit.

A pop up box for Charlotte!

Good morning, our challenge at Crafty Catz this week is sponsored by

The prize is a $6 voucher

Our lovely Ginny is hosting and the theme  she picked for the team is 'Add a number'.
It's my youngest Granddaughter's 1st birthday next month- the time has passed so quickly, I'm a little sad that I missed so much of her first year because of the current situation, but we'll definitely make up for it as soon as we're able! Since we've been allowed to meet family outdoors we have seen her a few times and she's getting used to me again- so looking forward to when I can squish her a bit!! - she's very round, smiley  and beautiful and definitely huggable!
Anyway, back to the card- I made a pop up box featuring one of Mo Manning's adorable images, which is coloured with copics  and paper pieced, fussy cut to sit  on top of the box.

I've added die cut balloons and hearts,  happy birthday sentiment and her name. The papers are from Polkadoodle (so pretty).
I decorated the outside of the box with a number one, die cut banners and some die cut hearts.
As always the rest of the Crafty Catz Ladies have produced some beautiful cards so please do take a look!
Remember, the theme is optional if you wish to play along.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Creature Feature at Fab'n' Funky

Good morning, can't believe it's Wednesday again and time for the weekly trip to the supermarket- not my favourite occupation, is it just me or does anyone else think that some people ( men particularly) are unable to judge a 2 meter distance...and as for going one way- just forget it! Most of them do go one way which is the exactly the way they've chosen to go- those little arrows on the floor are just for decoration!
One day we'll be able to go shopping without worrying about it again😊

On a much brighter note Wednesday is also the day for a new challenge at Fab'n'Funky, this week our lovely host,  Ginny, has chosen the theme of Creature Feature.
I made a card featuring the cutest little House Mouse (So Sweet Set, Stampendous) such a sweet little face! He's framed by die cut circles, flowers and leaves, papers are Craft Consortium , Bloom Beautiful. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the tiny mouse and I've stamped around the circle using a gorgeous Lavinia Stamps swirl.
It's a lovely challenge this week so we hope to see you at Fab'n' Funky just click the link to hop over and see what the team have come up with this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day

Dream Machine!

Good morning, it's time for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin' - this week's theme is Fathers Day or Masculine.
I'm sharing the card I made for Hubby's birthday. He's a bit of car freak so I thought he would enjoy this amazing image rom Sheepski- it's a real dream machine! I coloured the image with copics then covered it with Glossy Accents to give it a lovely shine. The background clouds are stencilled. There's a subtle touch of glitter on the wings -not showing in photo. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp
The background is stencilled and stamped onto dark blue card, I added mdf and die cut heat embossed  cogs to echo those in the image.
There's loads of fabulous  makes from my lovely teamies to be enjoyed Here- we'd love to see your wonderful masculine creations so why not play along this week?
I'll be back later today with my card for this month's challenge at Crafty Calendar.

Crafty Catz Challenge #509 - Anything goes- optional twist CAS

Good morning, this week at Crafty Catz it's our lovely Tilly's turn to host and choose the  theme for the DT to use- she chose CAS.
I love CAS cards -just not that good at them myself...I never know when to stop!
We're sponsored this week by the fabulous
so a great chance to win some of Jodie's wonderful digis!
I used the pretty  Flower Watering Can , coloured it with copics and die cut a frame from DP.
I stencilled leaves in the corners and  stamped  a sentiment.

I used the new blogger to make this post- no real problems once I'd worked out how to make the photo bigger! (Thanks for the tip Chrissy)- it just looks different!

Please hop over to Crafty Catz to see what the team have been up to this week, remember, the theme is optional if you want to play along.
Thanks for visiting,
have a good day.
