Creature Feature at Fab'n' Funky

Good morning, can't believe it's Wednesday again and time for the weekly trip to the supermarket- not my favourite occupation, is it just me or does anyone else think that some people ( men particularly) are unable to judge a 2 meter distance...and as for going one way- just forget it! Most of them do go one way which is the exactly the way they've chosen to go- those little arrows on the floor are just for decoration!
One day we'll be able to go shopping without worrying about it again😊

On a much brighter note Wednesday is also the day for a new challenge at Fab'n'Funky, this week our lovely host,  Ginny, has chosen the theme of Creature Feature.
I made a card featuring the cutest little House Mouse (So Sweet Set, Stampendous) such a sweet little face! He's framed by die cut circles, flowers and leaves, papers are Craft Consortium , Bloom Beautiful. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the tiny mouse and I've stamped around the circle using a gorgeous Lavinia Stamps swirl.
It's a lovely challenge this week so we hope to see you at Fab'n' Funky just click the link to hop over and see what the team have come up with this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day
Chris

  6. This is so gorgeous Chris and I love the fold too. I haven't been out to the shops in two months! My hubby does it for us, he is a blessing! I know my son cracks up about people when he's shopping. He says absolutely no one, especially men, go where they want! I think the men haven't been used to shopping before this!

  11. Such a darling HouseMouse card, Chris! Of course, I do love everything you make - always such pretty cards. Your circular theme is especially brilliant with the pretty floral background and embellishment petals. Love it! As always, it's a pinned creation!

I'm fortunate that my hubby does the grocery shopping here, and has done it for the last 13 years. But he's keeping the social distancing in place, wearing a mask, and following the arrows. He gets a little annoyed when someone arrogantly invades the space, but is trying hard to remember that some people forget, or have the thought that "all is well". He is surprised by the numbers of people who do not wear a mask of some sort. We are fortunate that the infection rate is low in our area, but still, he is worried about bringing COVID home to me because of my illnesses, and my autoimmune responses.

I am grateful to all the people who help others out. I used to fall into that category as well, but now I'm one of those people who needs help, and it is a different sort of "humbling" feeling. I'm fortunate to have a caring hubby. It hurts my heart how many people are being affected monetarily, too, but we will get thru all these things, just as we have in the past, or as previous generations have. Life certainly is different!

    loving you,
    de

  14. Yes, a really super cute image and a really great shape of the card, loe the papers and the super circle. The yellow flowers go so well against the image and papers.

I had a Tesco delivery today the time slot was between 4 and 5 p.m. Arrived at 5 minutes to 4, so was impressed. Didn't tick the box to accept replacement if items were not available as my Daughter had a bad experience with that, got some rubbish that you wouldn't feed to a cat or dog.

Hence I went on to Tesco after tea to get the things missing off the list that were not available, got everything in the store, so why was it not available. Have no idea if the local store picks up the orders or if they come from a distribution centre. Wouldn't bother with home delivery again just take the risk and go the the store, well I had to anyway, as one of the items was potatoes.

  16. This is so cute! Your little mouse amidst those pretty flowers. Love the fold, the circular theme - just gorgeous! Grocery shopping has lost in charm lately. I go in with my list and get out as quickly as I can. The mask make me feel claustrophobic and anxious.

  23. Shopping..... *yuck* Andy has been doing ours, I'm afraid I've stuck very much to home and the furthest I've been is the postbox round the corner.

Fab card though, I really must experiment more with different card blank styles!

  24. I feel your frustration about the shopping it's been a real 'mare' during lockdown! One guy, I could feel his breath on my neck at the checkout, I wanted to clock him! LOL. So nice to have those restrictions lifted now here in NZ and I hope that things will settle and be soon back to normal the world over. Hang in there and keep creating your beautiful designs, I know that helped me loads during lockdown, keeping busy with my crafts. Hugs, Wends xoxo
