Good morning, another week is drawing to a close- it's been a bit of a mixed week for me- on one hand my daughter and one of my granddaughters have both celebrated birthdays- Ruby's 11th and my daughter's ??? not going to say in case she ever reads this post! We are still allowed to see family (rule of 6!) at present so we were able to see both of them on their birthdays which was lovely. Sadly, on the other hand, we've been told that our beautiful Mathilda has a heart condition. She's 8 years old now which is getting on a bit for a Great Dane as they do not have a long life expectancy, but she's always been so fit and healthy that it's a bit of a shock to say the least. The vet has put her on medication and is monitoring her, she seems really well, a bit quieter than usual but otherwise perfectly happy- eating her head off and asking for walks so we're hoping it's not as serious as it sounds. She's definitely lapping up the extra attention and coddling and any little bits of chicken that might be coming her way.
Today's card is for this week's challenge at Crafty Catz, our host for this is Aunty Sue and she picked the optional twist of 'hats'.
We have a brand new sponsor this week
and we were given some gorgeous images to play with, I just love this little pony in his Christmas hat! He was so easy to colour too as the shading is done for you!I created the card base by cutting a semi circle, scoring and folding to make it stand up. It does fold flat for posting, which is a bonus! The rest of it is pretty simple- DP, die cut trees and snowflake border and a few gems. 'Merry Christmas' sentiment die cut in red and white then layered together is on the front of the folded card.
My lovely teamies have made some stunning cards using fabulous sponsor images,
just click here to take a look, hope you can find the time to play along too.
Thanks for stopping by
Chris

What a simple idea for a card shape Chris but it looks spectacular!! Love the image you have used and coloured so beautifully. Poor Mathilda. They are a worry as they get older. Our wee dog is now going on 13years and he is full of grey whiskers. Unfortunately he still thinks he's a pup and ends up hurting himself leaping about. I am sure Mathilda will love all the extra loving. Glad you got to see your family for the birthdays.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, makes me smile, awesome coloring and love the shape/fold, thanks for playing our All Occasions Challenge this week at Krafty Chicks.
