Good morning, hope you have all enjoyed a good week, the weather has been lovely here, lots of late summer sunshine, just what we need to set us up for the colder and darker days ahead. Not much crafting done here- I've spent as much time as I can outside, a lot of reading and a little gardening- my husband is a keen gardener and does most of the work which suits me down to the ground! Marvin likes to help with a bit of pruning and dead heading...unfortunately he doesn't wait until the flowers are dead and he's an indiscriminate but enthusiastic pruner! Anyway, back to the card- one I made earlier- for this week's challenge at Crafty Catz, sponsored by

Our theme for this week is 'Anything But Square', as always this theme is optional.
I used Torn Edge Octagon dies to cut a card base and frame, stamped the cute Frog and Friend image onto the card base, coloured with Copics then masked him off to stencil the background sky and grass, I added some stamped bulrushes. The frame was stencilled and stamped to match.
As always there's plenty more to see over at the Challenge blog, so please hop over and take a look at what the team have been up to this week.
Thanks for visiting
Chris

ReplyDeleteHiya Chris, I love that shape card and the matching frame really adds a lovely touch. Great image as well and the scene you've created is fab!
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying the good weather too - but no gardening here, that's just not me. It's more out on the Prom walking / jogging that, and my 'gym', are my happy places!

My Blog As I do Rodos
It must be a Lab pup thing Chris because Rosa is a keen pruner as well, she's not fussy, flowers, leaves and low handing fruit in the orchard is a new trick, but she got a bit of a shock yesterday with some Mahonia, it's prickly she discovered.
ReplyDeleteLoving all those fluffy clouds and interesting shaped matting.

|Hmmm I think we have a gardener in the family besides me Chris...Woody came in last night with a plant pot with begonias in and proceeded to dump it all over the hallway!!! Your card is gorgeous and I'm doing some crafting to make my mind busy but it's not working I can't really concentrate and a few have ended up in the bin...stay safe have a great weekend hugs Sue x

Gorgeous card Chris, love the cute image of this sweet little boy and his frog friend and love your colouring with that glorious sky and a fabulous shape and card design..My Harry used to love coming out in the garden but he was very good, I would give him a branch or something like that and say, "put it in the bin", and he did most times, unless it was just too juicy and needed chewing..

Love the shape of your card and how you framed it. The image lends itself well for boy or girl which is awesome. I was that girl that played with frogs and snails and worms. So happy you played along with Krafty Chicks Challenge this week.
