Our lovely Nick is hosting this week and her optional theme is
Trick or Treat (pick trick=interactive card or treat=something yummy or trick or treat =Halloween

I had so much fun with this card! I've used the free image and paper that Beccy is generously giving away this month -Available here.
What a fantastic scary witch, so enjoyed colouring her!
I changed the colour of the free paper to purple
I drew and coloured a door for her to hide behind cut the doors so they would open and added some little lock shaped brads  (had these for ages- so pleased to use them at last.)
I popped the witch behind the doors and adhered to front of card along with some die cut webs and bats. Stamped the spiders and 'creepy' and 'spooky' words. I added the little sign which is handwritten- in blood of course!

Thanks for stopping by- hope to see you over at Crafty Catz this week!

  8. Your card is awesome Chris!! Great idea to hide the witch behind the doors, it's certainly a spooky thrill waiting for the recipient. You did a fabulous job drawing and colouring the big bricks and the panel doors and I love the spooky "enter if you dare" sign. The bats and spider webs add to the Halloween vibe too. Love it!
    Cheers,
    Beccy

  20. Hi Chris, sorry I've not been over to visit your blog for awhile - been struggling with the darker days and feeling a little sorry for myself (always the same this time of year every year!). Anyways gave myself a shake and got on with it, and here I am.

Gorgeous cards - love this one, so inventive! - and love the story about your g'daughters and the mouse. We're a cat family (not my choice!) so have had cats all of TTT's (aka Emily's) life - she's well used to dead mice, in all stages of de-composition now and deals with them much better than I do!!!
