Happy, happy dog

Hello, I'm waiting for my son to arrive to collect me for baby-sitting duties, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee and writing this post- the calm before the storm. I don't think I'll be doing anything very peacefully for the next day or so...Emily has 'plans'!!!! I don't know what she's got up her sleeve but I'll find out soon enough!

This is a card I made a while ago, inspired by Marvin running through a field, he just looked so happy with his ears flapping in the breeze and that huge tongue hanging out! He just loves to run and be free!

The stamp is from Picket Fence, coloured with Copic Markers to look like my boy. The background scene is created with varios stamps and stencils. The base of the easel has stencilled pawprints and layered die cut sentiment.

It is a little cooler here and we have had some much needed rain but still struggling to sleep at night in these too- warm temperatures, ah well it won't last forever and soon  we'll be missing the sunshine, August is just flying past!

Thanks for visiting

Chris

  4. Hi Chris,
this is such a wonderful card and it makes you Happy just looking at it.
Love the scene you have created and the colours look brilliant.
I can imagine Marvin injoying his romp in the country side from this card.
Glad you had a good bit of rain we hardly had much it rained for all of 15 mins yesterday and the day before.
My little Great Grandson came over with his Mum and Sister while she does my cleaning and we played with you know the stars filled with concrete that hang on the bottom of your balloons to stop them floating away, well we were tossing them on floor and counting how many stood on end he had such fun doing that at least it got him offhis I Pad for a while we both took turns and of course he won the challenge and got to 10 before me.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  5. It sure is difficult to get much done, let alone find a comfortable sleep, when temps are intolerable! Glad you received some rain, and hopefully, some relief from the heat, too. How marvelous that you can babysit for your family - makes for great memories, and happy opportunities as well. Your HAPPY birthday card is adorable! "Marvin" couldn't be happier, and that shadowed "happy" work makes me smile real big, just feeling the puppy's joy! SOOOOO CUTE! huggers, de

  6. That is adorable Chris! So much joy in that picture! Marvin all over! Hope you and Emily had fun together. Enjoy the last of the Summer days while they remain. We are in our Magnolia days here. It's not yet Spring, though we've had rain for most of Winter, the wettest I recall. The Magnolias think its Spring and are blooming already. I'm counting down the days to slightly warmer dryer weather. Hugs, Wends xoxo

  7. One happy dog indeed Chris, sums Marvin up so well.

Hope the baby sitting does OK and not too stressful in this heat. It's actually raining a bit here early morning but doesn't seem to have cooled the temps much.
