Hello, hope you're all having a good day. I've been shopping today, wandering around for what seems like hours looking for gifts for my daughter and granddaughter who both have birthdays next week- really bad planning on my daughter's part- her birthday has been massively overshadowed since the birth of her younger daughter almost 13 years ago now!
This is the card I made for Ruby, this image made me smile-perfect for a sports- mad girl who also likes to be girly sometimes! Her passion is football, she plays for two teams and the school team, has won countless medals and trophies and is perfectly happy getting muddy cold and wet! Definitely doesn't take after me!
The image is from Krista Smith (previosly Saturated Canary) and I had a great deal of pleasure colouring her with my markers. As you can see, the design is very CAS, just added some die cut sentiments.
Thanks for stopping by
Chris

Fabulous card Chris, that image is just beautiful and your colouring is stunning.
ReplyDeleteI have a month packed with birthdays, its murder isn't it and too near Christmas for my liking.xx
One of ours went ever further, Anysia and Azaria share the same Birthday four years apart, then last year Margo was born on Anysia's Birthday. To say she wasn't impressed spending three days before then another afterwards in hospital during covid restrictions was an understatement. And Zachary was born on my Birthday so for years he's had the choice of how we spend our Birthday, footies parties, swimming parties, thankfully he's grown up now and things are a but more civilised.
ReplyDeleteI ramble on, I adore that image and can see the funny side of it, sounds like Ruby is a girl after my own heart and sure she will love the special card you have made for her.

Oh wow that is an absolutely brilliant image and coloured to perfection. I reckon I could use this on a lot of young girls cards as they all seem to be into sports but still keeping their feminine side. Hope they both have a lovely birthday.

I know what you mean. Our daughter Sandra was born almost 35 years ago the day before my birthday;)
Chris this is amazing! LOVE your colouring on this fabulous image, those folds, swoon! Hopefully Mum and daughter can enjoy their 'shared birthday week' as your granddaughter grows older. I feel a little like my whole life has been overshadowed since my kiddos arrived! LOL. I think that's just motherhood! She's sure to love this gorgeous card and hope your daughter enjoys her special day too. Hugs, Wends xoxo
