Puddles are not just for pigs...

Morning all, I just realised that this is the last Friday of the month and it will be March next week- brilliant! February is not my favourite month but at least it's shorter than the rest! March says it's the beginning of spring to me - even if it's cold and wet it makes me feel better! There are loads of spring flowers in the garden now, buds and blossom everywhere, lovely!

This is my DT card for our new challenge at Crafty Catz which starts today- as always the theme is Anything Goes, the optional twist this week is Spots and/ or stripes chosen by Auntie Sue, who is hosting this time.

We have a fabulous sponsor this week

who provided the team with some cute images, I used Eli Elephant Splashing Puddles-  so cute, coloured with Copic markers. The raincoat and hat had to be yellow like the one my son had when he was two- he was a huge fan of puddles too! I gave the little elephant a die cut umbrella to wave about precariously (also a reminder of my son- not the best thing to give a very lively and excitable small child- dangerous for anyone who gets within reach!!!). Papers are also from Polkadoodles.

Do hop over to the Challenge Blog to check out the fabulous creations from my lovely teamies!

Thanks for visiting

Have a great weekend

Chris

  1. Yes, lots of signs of Spring Chris, there were so many Daffodils and Snowdrops as well as early blossom on our trip to the other side of Newmarket yesterday (Poppy's specialist Vet for a check on her throat) and it was lovely to see. Like you March tells my head Spring is here.

Your card today is so bright and cheery and would brighten anyones day.

Would you believe if I told you my Daffs started popping up at the end of December, I still can't believe it, they are very tall and only just open now and so pretty, but all that time, its never happened before.... Bless them...roll on spring.xx

  6. Gorgeous bright card Chris, love your spotty umbrella and your splash, a really cheery card even though it's raining. Sunshine here at the moment and lots of snowdrops and mini cyclamen out and, of course, the days are getting longer all good signs.

  15. Hahahaha! Cute blog post title, Chris! Traditionally, it does not rain here during winter and spring, so your little guy "splishing and splashing" looks as though he is thoroughly enjoying himself. Of course, I'm sure the smiling cloud and dotted umbrella help make it even more fun! Darling card, Chris. hugs, de
