Good morning, I've been spending more time in the craft room than I usually do in the summer months, probably because it's not much fun sitting in the garden- my book would get soggy! I'm not complaining, the cool temperatures suit me much better than 40+ degrees would and it hasn't been nearly as wet here as it has in other parts of the UK- we've had rain but not torrential rain for days on end for which I'm very grateful!
I told myself it would be a good opportunity to crack on with Christmas cards, but unfortunately I didn't listen... I've been enjoying some colouring time though, I spent some time trawling through my files of digis and printed up some old favourites to colour. This little sweetie is from A Day For Daisies, Flowers in my Garden, I've used Copic Markers and Polychromos to colour. Paper from stash (very old!) a die cut frame and stamped sentiment.
Thanks for visiting, have a good day.
Chris

ReplyDeleteWe've had nothing but rain, even had the flood warnings in place.
No the gardens not a place to be at the moment.

Beautiful card Chris, such a pretty image.
ReplyDeleteI think this has been the worse July we have had as far back as I can remember, if we get a break in the rain I have to go out and look at all the beautiful flowers that are getting soaked, what can we do...xxx
A beautiful image Chris, love the shade of blue on her dress and your background paper. We've been really lucky with warm sunny spells most days.
ReplyDeleteWeather is something else this 'summer' isn't it, we've had it torrential for three days yet hubby tells me still not enough for the crops. I would like a few days warm enough to eat in the garden though, they have been few are far between.
ReplyDeleteYour card certainly says warmer sunnier days and is very sweet and so pleased our blue option maybe inspired in part, many thanks for sharing at Allsorts.

What a beauty Chris!
ReplyDeleteLove the digi and your paperchoice.
I am so glad that I have a supply of digis that I managed to buy before they ceased trading. This is such a sweet card. Weather certainly is at odds with itself. I can't get down to any serious weeding in the garden. Wet one minute, then too soggy, then too windy.
ReplyDeleteHave managed to get some letter writing done whilst marooned in the summer house from a sudden downpour. Christmas cards can wait till I find my mojo for them. Not sure I would get on all right with an actual potters wheel. This clay we used we just thumped and rolled out. Hugs Mrs A.
Fabulous and sweet card!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at Allsorts;-))m

ReplyDeleteI know it is Winter here but we have had a lot of rain too this season, our Summer was not much better to be honest..
Luv CHRISSYxx
This is one super sweet image and the coloring is perfect too.
ReplyDeleteThat torrential rain has taken up camp here since the 1st of July. First day kids off for the summer and it's bucketing down. Happens so quickly, one minute sunshine them boom, we are all soaked before we get in the back door lol. Great summer! NOT. I love this pretty image and know I have some of them stored in a file somewhere on this computer. Beautifully colour and showcased.
