I used my much loved Penny Black Snowy stamp, he who narrowly escaped the jaws of death when Marvin was a pup and chewed everything he could get his teeth around- rubber stamps were a firm favourite!. He would lurk nonchalantly in my craft room waiting for an opportunity -then quick as a flash he would nick something and leg it out of the room, looking for somewhere to lie down and have a good old chew. Fortunately, on this occasion, I spotted him straight away and managed to retrieve Snowy more-or -less intact (one of his arms is slightly damaged but stamp is still usable)
I've coloured his scarf and hat with my markers, and added loads of glitter to the trim and pompom. An embossed background, some panels of left over DP from the scrap drawer. I added some die cut snowflakes with tiny red gem centres to finish.
Thanks for visiting
hope you have a good day
Chris

ReplyDeleteOh I love the 'Marvin' stories Chris, so funny, not so funny when your on the end of it but still, haha.
ReplyDeleteSo glad he didn't get his teeth into this one, such a sweet image and a lovely card. xx
Another outing for Snowy, like the red with the tealy colour. Rosa was keen on stamps as well, dare I admit she chewed up half of a Stamp Addicts delivery for TV samples, luckily Sarah saw the funny side of it.

Oh Chris, Marvin might have been banished from the craft room had Snowy been damaged too much! Always love a cute Snowy card. I have to make a Snowy card at least once a year! Thanks for sharing with us at Penny Black Saturday Challenge! 💕 Sue Kment

ReplyDeletePoor Snowy! I'm glad you got to rescue him. this is a lovely cute card with lovely papers that you've matched your colouring to perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful story behind this charming Christmas card! Snowy's adventurous encounter with Marvin adds such a humorous touch to the creation process. Your coloring and glittery accents truly bring Snowy to life, and the addition of die-cut snowflakes adds a perfect festive touch.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, your pup story gave me a laugh. I'm so glad you managed to save this stamp. I think it's a great idea to be making Christmas cards now. This last year, I didn't send out a single Christmas card, because life just caught up with me, and I didn't have any to send! Beautiful colour combo for a Christmas card. I love the embossed background paper. Thanks for sharing this with us at Passion for Markers!
