At the beach

Good morning, here's my DT card for our new challenge at Fab'n' Funky, hosted this fortnight by our lovely Pat K who has chosen the theme of 'Seaside' - perfect for this time of year!

My card was made some time ago, for my wonderful friend who's idea of heaven is a beach...and a good book! She has a 'thing' about beach huts too...not so sure if she's fond of seagulls!
I made a stepper card with a combination of digis from different companies, the little girl with the big book looks very much at home sitting on the steps of the beach hut. Images and sand coloured with Copics, the sky and waves are stencilled the die cut is from Find It Media.

This will be our last challenge before we break for the summer so I do hope you can join us! Please hop over to Fab'n' Funky Challenges to check out the lovely cards my teamies have made to inspire you.

Thanks for visiting

Chris

  12. Fabulous card Chris such a cute image, great scene and design, I’m sure your friend loved it. Could do with being on a beach with a good book myself, but I will make do with watching the tennis for now.

  14. Hi Chris, I hang my head in shame that the only reason I've made it round to your blog (maybe the first time this year!?) is to say thank you for joining in with my theme this week at Passion for Markers.

Hopefully I will get some 'me' time back soon, as the temp job I've got has turned into a permanent job from August, but with less hours - yipee! Then I will make my commenting catch-up top of my list!

  15. Wow, Chris, I absolutely adore this beachy stepper card! The details are perfect. My husband is just like your friend, so his cards must also be nautical. Thank you for playing with the Creative Creases Challenge, and I hope you can join us again soon. We really appreciate your support!

  17. Your stepper card for your beach-loving friend sounds delightful! The combination of digis from different sources creates a charming scene, with the little girl enjoying her book by the beach hut. The Copics coloring adds depth and warmth, while the stenciled sky and waves add a serene backdrop, capturing the essence of a peaceful day by the sea.
