Good morning, haven't we had a great summer so far, so many days of lovely sunshine. Ok I didn't enjoy the extreme temperatures (extreme for the UK that is!) at the beginning of the week but it's been a lot cooler since then but still lots of sun. Not enough rain to keep the grass green but plenty of flowers in the garden to enjoy, which brings me on to the theme this month over at Stamping Sensations- Summer Blooms, chosen by Avril, or of course you can always use the Anything Goes option. There are 2 lovely prizes of Aall &Create stamps/stencil to be won.
I decided to go for hot colours to match the weather, so stamped and white embossed my image (a Woodware stamp) onto white cardstock blended several colours of Distress Oxides over it then added a little stencilling using A & C stencil #-249- Circular Disruption (my new favourite!) I added a die cut frame and stamped sentiment.
For full details of how to enter, the lovely prizes on offer and fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team please hop over to Stamping Sensations.
Thanks for visiting, have a good week.

Fantastic hot colours in your background Chris, the white embossing on your floral stamp adds to the impression of heat
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning card love the dies and you design. A beautiful summer colours. Ginny x
ReplyDeleteStunning card Chris, really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think you have had a lot more sunshine than we have. Its been very muggy and not at all enjoyable, the lack of sunshine doesn't help things. Next week is supposedly going to be sunny, fingers are crossed. xx
You've certainly captured the hot, hot days of lateChris, such effective resist stamping. We actually have rain as I write, so hoping it last long enough to do some good, but they forecast a return of the heatwave.

ReplyDeleteThe contrast between the crisp white embossed flowers and that bold, hot background is just stunning. It really makes the floral design pop and gives the whole card an eye-catching look. I love how you balanced the heat of the background with the elegance of the white.

ReplyDeleteI do not do well when we get soaring temperatures either Chris. Love the sunshine but 28 degrees is just far too hot for me. I love your hot colours on your card though, so so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe fiery blend of Distress Oxides feels like summer itself radiating off the card—such a brilliant tribute to the season’s vibrant energy. The white embossed florals offer the perfect cooling contrast, almost like catching a breeze after a warm day in the sun. And that Circular Disruption stencil? A bold and modern choice that adds fantastic movement to the design. This is a striking celebration of summer blooms in every way!
