a moment in time

Hi, I've created a card inspired by the sketch at this month's challenge at Aurora Wings
At the moment  time passing is very much on my mind with my beautiful granddaughters growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday they were babies and this week the eldest started at Grammar school whilst the youngest had her first day at school.., a whole new chapter in both of their young lives. Hence the steampunk style card, to me it symbolises  time and the passing of time.
The image is of course from Aurora Wings, it's called Unless, and is one of my favourites. I cropped the image (don't you just love digis?!!) to fit with the sketch.
I coloured the cropped image with my copics and fussy cut. She's placed inside the clock (Tim Holtz) die cut and embellished with die cut cogs. The background was created using my gel plate and distress inks, a bit of stencilling and embossed stamping.
Thanks for taking the time to visit and for any comments you might leave, always very much appreciated!

  16. Love how you've cropped this image in order to implement it perfectly with the sketch! The pop of green from her hat is in perfect contrast with the more earthy steampunk tones on the rest of the card. Love this!!!! Thanks for playing along with our sketch challenge at Aurora Wings!
