Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and the theme this week is 'things with wings'.
I wanted to make something a little different with my lovely Lavinia stamps, I tend to create scenes with them but thought I'd try something a bit more CAS for a change...here's the result!
I die cut the 'beautiful' twice, once from black cardstock and once from a piece of water colour paper that I'd 'Brusho-d' (one of several I'd made earlier...) and stuck the coloured pieces inside the black frame...just like doing a jigsaw puzzle. I stamped the three dancing fairies and the sentiment to finish.
As always there's some wonderful creations to inspire you over at
Sweet Stampin' so please hop over and take a look, we're hoping you like this fun theme and play along this week.
Thanks for visiting, hope you have good weekend...and don't get blown away by the storms!

Wow, Chris! This is a fabulous technique - but help the mentally challenged please - I read your instructions about how you cut each piece from black, and then from the colored paper cardstock, but how did you achieve that see-through layering look? It's really an amazing effect! LOVE your precious little fairies, and the lovely message. And now for my other hat: So happy I saw your pretty card at Lavinia World Challenges. Hope to see more of your creations in the future.
