Got the blues...

Good morning! Hope all is well with you wherever you are. It's time for a new challenge at Southern Girls, a lovely easy one this time- Monochromatic! I kept the design of this one quite simple, just added some ribbon, a sprinkling of gems and the gorgeous butterfly, cut using a Marianne design die.
Thanks for visiting and don't forget to hop over to Southern Girls. There are prizes to be won from our generous sponsors, Marianne Design and Rhoda Design Studio.

Anything goes at Hobbycutz!

Good morning! I'm back again with another very quick post, this time it's for Hobbycutz Challenges -and yes! it's everyone's favourite theme 'anything goes'! My card is made using the fabulous 'Marilyn', kindly supplied by our generous sponsor The Stamping Chef. She is coloured with copics, cut out and mounted over a beautiful Hobbycutz  frame, which is in turn mounted over an aperture cut into the front of the card. The frame and edges of the card are covered with gilding flakes. The lips are stamped and embossed onto the backing card .

I loved making this card! Thank you for visiting and I hope you'll take the time to visit Hobbycutz Challenges to see what the rest of the team have made! Our challenges our now weekly instead of fortnightly and we have some very talented new DT members, you will love what they have created. We would love to see your beautiful creations too, so go on , join in, what have you got to lose!?
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Feeling blue!

Good morning , and what a beautiful morning it is! The sun is shining , the sky is blue and I'm back at home! My brothers have been away on holiday and I've been 'Mum-sitting ' for a week. It was great to spend some time with my lovely Mum but it's so nice to be back at home! So I'm feeling happy, not 'blue' but over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge  this week the theme is 'Got the Blues' and this is my card for the challenge.
Hope you like it but got to rush now as husband has been busy while I was away.... floor replaced in lounge, redecorated but everything is upside down and covered in dust.... and I won't even start to tell you about the laundry that's waiting for me!
 Have a  lovely day!

So demure...

Hi lovely blogger friends! I've been pretty busy lately, with one thing and another, not a lot of time to craft, but I have had a little time to play today,  so I made this card with a digi I was lucky enough to win from The Paper Shelter.  This little 'twenties girl' looks so sweet and demure and perfectly suited to an art deco style of card. Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy the journey!

Good morning! It's the start of a long weekend here in the UK as it's a bank holiday on Monday, weather forecast isn't great but it's always nice to have a bit of extra time to relax and enjoy being with family and friends. I never tend to go too far from home on holiday weekends as the traffic is always appalling so I don't 'enjoy the journey!' Unlike this little guy, who is as happy as can be as he zips around  the stationary cars in the horrendous traffic jams on his trusty bike! You can tell how much he is enjoying himself by the big smile on his cute face!  I just love this little chap!
This is my DT card for the new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and yes, you've guessed it, the theme is journeys/travel. the Prairie Fairy image is coloured with copics, a touch of glossy accents added to his specs and headlight. The 'tickets' are made with Tim Holtz stamps. Words and chevron stamps were magazine freebies and so were the papers.
We are sponsored this week by Crafty Ribbons and there is also a monthly prize from
the Ribbon Girl.  We'd love to have you join  us this week so get out your stamps and start crafting! Don't forget to visit Sweet Stampin Challenge blog to check out the inspiration from my lovely teamies, they've created some lovely cards for this challenge!
Whatever you're doing, whatever the weather, have a great weekend!

Hobbycutz, Challenge 13 (lucky for some!)

Good morning! Two weeks have flown by once again and it's time for a new challenge at Hobbycutz, this time we would like you to create your own background for your project.
For my DT project I decided to make a stepper card. The lovely fairytale image is courtesy of our generous sponsor, Crafts and Me, it was an absolute joy to colour. To make the  background I used some Gayle Bond images of toadstool houses which perfectly complemented the little girl and her lovely fairy friend. The toadstool border in the foreground comes from the same CD (to visit Gayle's blog click here). The swirly 'tree' in the background is a Hobbycutz wooden laser cut.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. Why not pop over to Hobbycutz Challenges now and take a look at the fabulous creations my team mates have produced! You won't be disappointed! We would love to have you join us so that we can admire your creativity too!
