A little batty...

Stella Says Sketch Challenge
It's time for a new sketch challenge at Catch the Bug-

Here's the sketch-
and this is my card, featuring Goth Girl and one of the digi  papers from Halloween 2
I coloured the image with copics and added glitter details to her skirt with a clear glitter pen (you can't see it in the photo, sorry) printed  some extra bats, coloured and fussy cut them. I changed the colour of the bat digi paper to purple to match my design and mounted it onto silvery glitter card.
The sentiment is die cut.
Thanks for visiting, have a lovely Sunday.

Autumn Colours at Sweet Stampin'

Good afternoon, running a little late today with my DT card for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', my husband is off for a jolly with the 'lads' for a couple of days, so I've invited some friends around tomorrow for 'a girls' night, thought I'd better clean the house a bit before they come :). It's probably been a complete waste of time as my lovely Mathilda is more than capable of mucking it up again before they arrive, but at least I've made an effort!Who cares about a bit of dog slobber!!!

Anyway, back to the challenge and the card. The theme this week is Autumn Colours/ Harvest, lovely, I do love these colours! I used a beautiful Stamping Bella stamp called Tiny Townie Fay Loves Fall, this was given to me by my lovely teamie and blogging friend Wends, not only is she an extremely talented crafter, she's a wonderful warm and generous person. Thanks Wends!
I coloured the little sweetie with my copics and used distress inks to make a subtle cloudy background. I die cut 3 banners from shades of orange cardstock and embossed them using 3 different efs. I added a couple of die cut leaves, stamped sentiment and twine.
There are some stunning cards from my teamies this week, I think everyone loves the autumnal colours! Please hop over and take a look- we'd love to see what you create using this lovely theme, so please do play along with us!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your weekend.

Something wicked...

Good morning, Crafty Catz Challenge #478 is up and running, this week we're sponsored by the fabulous Paper Shelter

Jac has picked the theme of Halloween for us - as always the theme is optional.
The DT were given a gorgeous image to play with, Witching Hour, The whole team have used the same image this week, I really love how different each card can look when this happens! Just hop over and see the variety for yourself!
The digi comes with a coloured version and papers as well as the uncoloured version I chose to use (really wanted to have a go at colouring this myself :) I used copics to colour, including the background and tried to give her face a bit of an eerie green glow from the potion bottle...not a total success! The cobwebs and script on the black background are stamped using Antique Linen Distress oxide Ink, the bats and web flourishes are heat embossed with black ep.
I hope you decide to play along with our challenge this week - remember the theme is optional!
Thanks for visiting
Have a great weekend

Sweet Cookies!

I was delighted to be invited to guest design for the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge,- thank you ladies!

Please take our badge for your blog!

The theme this week is Christmas and is sponsored by Crafty Sentiments

I made this card using a Sweet Sentiments rubber stamp called Sweet Cookies

The card base and tag are kraft card, the stamped image is coloured with copics and fussy cut, the recipe on the tag and the white border are done by hand. I added a couple of strips of dp and red ric rac ribbon to the embossed layer. The little gingerbread man is cut from the same dp .

There are plenty of beautiful creations from the DT over at the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog, so please do hop over to admire them!

Christmas At Sweet Stamping- October Challenge- Stars

Good morning, it's our October Challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin', this month we want to see stars! I intended to make a card but unearthed these corrugated stars lurking in the back of a drawer, they were slightly battered so I disguised the bent bits with Snow Tex paste and added them to my   tags along with a few die cuts, scraps of ribbon and the odd brad! i never have enough tags at Christmas so I'm pleased I made these.

No colouring involved so they were pretty quick to make!
Only 11 more weeks to go and the big day will be upon us...if you haven't started your festive cards yet now would be a very good time to begin!
If you're stuck for inspiration hop over to CaSS, there are some brilliant makes from the team to give you some ideas.
We would love to see what you create too, so please do play along.

Bugaboo treat bags

Anything But a Card!

Good morning, it's Anything But A Card day at Catch the Bug. I made some little Halloween treat bags featuring Halloween Tag Set 1. These little images are really cute, nothing scary and you get all three in one set. They're quick and easy to colour too. The bag shapes are die cut from black card, I added a strip of dp across the top of the bag, the Bugaboo tags and some ribbon, quick and simple! They are quite small so not too many treats needed to fill them which will earn me brownie points from my daughter and daughter in law!

Here's a view of their backsides (if you'll pardon the expression) - die cut 'Boo' and stars and a pair of googly eyes

Thank you for visiting, have a good week.
