Tuesday 29 April 2014

Good morning my lovelies! It's Tuesday. Again. Already. Can't believe it's almost May, what on earth happened to April?!
Anyways, it's time for our new Totally Ladybugs Tuesday Challenge at Ladybugs Crafts Ink. This time it's the lovely and talented Kath's turn to set the theme and she chose 'Easel Cards'.  All the Ladybugs used Magnum images, he's just the most amazing cat with so much 'cattitude'! I'm not really a cat person, much prefer dogs, but I think Magnum has such character and presence! I used this great golfing image, Fore as both my son and son-in-law are golf fanatics...and they both like cats! Image printed twice onto plain card and twice onto green dps. The 'green' and trees are paper pieced. I cut the mouse, Magnum and flag from one image, coloured with copics and placed them with sticky pads to add dimension. (Don't know if that makes any sense at all! ) A few buttons, a little tag and a sentiment. Job done!
There's also some exciting news over at the Ladybugs Challenge Blog- a new release is imminent! Yay!!!
Please feel free to grab the banner and display it on your sidebar to spread the great news!
Thanks for visiting.

Favourite Colours

Good morning . Here is my GD card for the new challenge at Hanna and Friends. It's a lovely theme this fortnight 'Favourite Colours', nice and easy unless you're indecisive and fickle like me:). In the end I decided to go for blue and brown as they always look gorgeous together! I printed the image quite large, she's from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps and I think she's a real cutie, so I kept the design of the card very simple.
Thanks for visiting and have a lovely day!

Girls just wanna have fun...!

Good morning, and a lovely sunny one it is too (if a little chilly!) Hope everyone is enjoying the Easter weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing my children and grandchildren tomorrow as my daughter has thoughtfully invited everyone to lunch... here.... and I'm cooking it! Hope the weather stays dry for the Easter egg hunt!
Back to the card, the challenge this week at Sweet Stampin'  is 'Lots of Layers', I've used a gorgeous stamp by Stampin Bella that I've been drooling over for ages. I finally succumbed to temptation (I know you'll find that difficult to believe!!!)  and treated myself to it! I coloured the girls with copics and paper pieced their dresses. Papers are from stash, no idea of the make! Flower made with Tim Holtz die and the little cocktail glasses are punched and covered with glossy accents.
We have 2 lovely sponsors this week, you could win a fabulous prize of 2 digis from

or this wonderful prize from Marianne Design

Good Friday! Good morning! Here's my card for this week's challenge at Delicious Doodles. Our theme this week is 'Pink' for Breast Cancer Awareness and we would love to have you join us  with your pink and delicious creations.  To make my card I used the stunning Blossom digi. I think she's absolutely beautiful, and a real joy to colour! The flowers are made from pink vellum using a Memory Box Cherry Blossom die, and the butterfly is also Memory Box die, cut in white paper and backed with vellum.
Please take the time to visit Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog, where you can check out the beautiful work of my teamies. This week Teri is very generously offering a fabulous freebie, so don't miss out!
Have a wonderful Easter Weekend.

The Ladybugs are all white!

Good morning! It's time for a new  Totally Ladybugs Tuesday challenge  at Ladybugs Crafts Ink! This fortnight it is the turn of Lovely Susan to set the theme and she has chosen 'White on White', not an easy theme for me! Fortunately (for me!) the  gorgeous Floral Delight images look beautiful however you use them! I chose to use Bouquet Delight, coloured the image with copics, added a few tiny gems and a scrap of tulle, then framed it with variously embossed white papers. The roses are made with a Marianne die The leaves and butterfly are Memory Box.
Now, if you want a real treat, just pop over to the challenge blog, the Ladybugs have excelled themselves this week! We'd love to see your WoW cards too!
Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Spring colours

Good evening. I 've had a very busy and industrious day, cleaning, cooking, ironing, dog walking and finishing small granddaughter's Easter dress! Now I have time to play, if I can keep my eyes open!!!
I treated myself to some beautiful new Lavinia stamps and made this card with them. The Lavinia Stamps Challenge this month is 'Spring Colours' so I went for yellow and green (again!). The background is coloured using Pan Pastels, the leaves stamped with various shades of green distress inks, the fairies and mushroom houses with memento. A tiny touch of glitter around the houses and on the wings (sorry doesn't really show in the photo!) I love these stamps!
We took Mathilda for a few days stay in a converted barn on a Sussex farm....she had a fabulous time. So did we!

Here she is on the beach (the tongue does fit back in!)

GDT at Hanna and Friends

Good morning lovely bloggers! I'm delighted to tell you that I have been invited to Guest Design for Hanna and Friends. The theme this fortnight is 'Easter', so a lovely easy one to join in!
Hmmm, I seem to have gone for green and yellow again with my card, for me these are the colours of spring! The image, isn't she a sweetie?, is from Pink Gem, coloured with copics, the papers are a random mix from my stash.. I love the hexagon one! The greeting is stamped with tiny alphabet stamps that were free in a magazine, the eggs cut from a piece of dp. I added a bow and the little wooden chick to finish.
Now it's time to pop over to the challenge blog, check out all the sweet and lovely creations from the design team and then it's your turn to create something cute and 'Eastery'!

Cards for all seasons

Good morning my friends. I hope the sun is shining on you! The weekend is nearly here again ... another week flown past it'll be Christmas before we know it :))- only another 214 sleeps to go!
Our challenge at Delicious Doodles this week is 'All Seasons in One Day' so I thought I'd make my first Christmas card this year, nothing like being prepared!  although I probably won't get around to making any more until November!!!!
I used one of Teri's fabulous scenic images , On a Winters Day, to make my card. I printed the lovely scene 3 times, and used dies to cut out the centres of two of them, then mounted them together using sticky pads to give some added dimension. I then printed just the little couple in the foreground, cut them out and stuck them on the top. Lots of frosted lace stickles,  a die cut tree and a computer generated greeting complete the card. I quite like the end result!
Please take time to visit the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog and check out the lovely creations from the rest of Team A! We'd love to see what you create too!
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Happy Friday!

Cupcake Cutie!

Yayyy! It Tuesday and time for a new Totally Ladybugs Tuesday Challenge at Ladybugs Crafts Ink! It's the turn of lovely Lyndsey to host this challenge and, being a kind and generous person, she has picked the theme of 'Birthdays'.... how easy is that!!!
I made a scalloped rocker card... the scalloped bits are all hand cut  as I don't have any dies that shape big enough (or any dies of any shape big enough....!) The cute digital image is of course from LCI, she's one of the 'Cupcake Cuties' and you can buy her here for just £1.75. I printed the image twice then cropped and enlarged one of them to make the big cupcake she is standing on. The large cake case was paperpieced, the rest coloured with copics and topped with glitter! Papers are LOTV. The card DOES stand up but it was windy in the garden and after retrieving it twice (the second time the 'jaws of death' aka Mathilda almost beat me to it!) I gave up and photographed it lying down (the card not me!).

Well, that's it from me. I hope you will take the time to visit the Challenge Blog and see what the Lovely Ladybugs have been up to! We'd love to see your Birthday Cards too!
