Happy Birthday Sweet Stampin'!

Good morning! Over at Sweet Stampin' we're celebrating our 6th Birthday, if you listen carefully you'll hear the sounds of  cheering and corks popping...we'll try not to be too noisy but I think it may get a bit raucous later on! It's a great team to be on and I'm so proud to be part of it!
To celebrate there will be extra prizes this week as well as the lovely prize from our sponsor CraftsULove so even more reason to join in this week!
The theme for this challenge is 'Sparkle and shine' -a really great one for this time of year! I chose to make a Christmas card  and to keep it CAS as I still have loads to make! I used a Penny Black die to cut 3 trees from glitter card and 3 from a lovely shiny dp, and just pieced them together. A glittery frame and stamped and embossed sentiment - job done!
Thanks for visiting today and I do hope that you'll join us for our birthday celebrations this week...just click here to join the party!
Have a great weekend

Be Merry!

Last Wednesday of the month....that means it's time for a Christmas Challenge at Fab 'n' Funky and this week it's my turn to host. our sponsor for this is the  fabulous Kenny K

The DT were given some brilliant images to use, I chose to use these fun and festive  Reindeer, -all the hard work is over for another year, and they're out celebrating! I coloured these handsome guys with my copics, then just cut around their hooves so I could slide my strips of DP underneath, added a brad, a length of bakers twine and matted onto several layers of card/dp.
We'd really love to have you join us at Fab N Funky this week, and unless you're one of the few amazingly industrious and organised crafters who already have their cards finished (not naming any names here but you know who you are!!!) you'll be glad of the incentive to create a festive card! Just click here to visit the Challenge blog , enjoy the lovely creations from my talented teamies and add your own fabulous festive make for us to enjoy!
Have a great day

Birthday butterfly

Good morning, time for a new challenge at Creative Moments, the optional theme this time is 'Bling it up' ...perfect for brightening up these dull dark November days! Our sponsors for this fortnight are

                                                               Art by Miran

                                                          My stitch back in twine
and

Although I still have loads of Christmas cards to make, I thought I'd have a little break and make a birthday card for this challenge, I was given a cute butterfly digi from My Stitch Back In Twine, which I printed, coloured the body and hearts, and fussy cut. I added stickles and gems then covered the wings in Wink of Stella, which of course doesn't show in the photo! You'll just have to take my word for it that they're lovely and sparkly!

I die cut several circles from bright pink cardstock and attached them to my hand cut fishtails using a bow and black sparkly brad. The sentiment is a Paper Smooches stamp. I added a few tiny gems to the flower centres of the backing DP.
We hope you'll join us at Creative Moments this fortnight, remember we're an 'anything goes' challenge - the theme is optional!
Thanks for dropping by!

A dark and gloomy November afternoon....

It's raining, it's dark and gloomy outside, so what better way of spending the afternoon than playing in my nice warm craft room? This is the first card I've made for ages that wasn't for a DT. I used a really sweet image from The East Wind called Holly and Olive. I printed her twice so I could add extra layers and dimension to her headdress. She's coloured with copics, a touch of red stickles for the berries. I die cut the image then added a touch of green distress ink and a sprinkling of Frantage to the edges. The background is composed of embossed white rectangles, matted onto dark green, a couple MB die cuts and a stamped greeting.
I apologise for the photo...very poor light today!
I'm now sitting here smiling because I've just noticed it's time for the school run ....and it's not my turn to pick the granddaughters up today :)!!!
Thanks for visiting,
Chris

Wrap up warm!

Good morning, welcome to the weekend and our new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. Our theme this week is 'wrap up warm'  -good advice in the UK this time of year! It has been very mild here, so far but definitely noticed more of a nip in the air the last couple of days.
I decided to make another Christmas card as the date is creeping (galloping??!) closer and closer. My image is a sweet digi from The Paper Shelter, which I coloured with copics and fussy cut. The tree die is Sizzix and the foliage die MB. Not sure about the poinsettia.
There's some great inspiration to be had from visiting Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog, my talented teamies have come up trumps as always and there's a lovely prize on offer from our lovely sponsor this week Bunny Zoe's Crafts, so just click here to have a look!
Thanks for visiting, have a great weekend.

Birthday princess

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at Creative Moments, as always 'anything goes' and the optional theme this fortnight is 'winter birthdays'.
We're sponsored this time by the fabulous Stitchy Bear, who generously allowed the DT to choose their own image. As soon as I saw this beautiful Ice Princess, I knew she would be perfect for my young niece's birthday card. The card l/o is fairly simple, a shaker card (this time the sequins and bling actually move when I shake it....won't mention how much glitter fell out though...)  I coloured her with copics and glitter pens, then covered her dress and headdress with loads of Wink of Stella, which you can just about see in the photo below! I wanted the whole card to have a sparkly shimmery look, after all that is what most little girls love!
Thanks for visiting, it'd be lovely if you find the time to create something and join the fun  at Creative Moments this fortnight!

....and now for something completely different! My second card today is a bit of a contrast from the first! Our new challenge at Fab 'N' Funky is hosted by the lovely Ginny and she has picked the theme of Clean And Simple. Our sponsor for this challenge is Doctor Digi -such fun images on this site! I chose to use Saturday Night Steven,  this image really makes me laugh as my brother actually sported this hairstyle back in the day! If anything his was even bigger and curlier!
I used copics to colour my groovy image, and paper pieced his jacket. The letters are stamped and cut out.
Why not pop over to Fab 'n' Funky now, there's some great makes from my funky teamies to make you smile, we'd love to see your CAS creations too!
Thanks for visiting  have a great day.

Sparkle, bling and embellish at Crafty Calendar!

Happy Saturday! Hope you have some fun things planned for the weekend, I must admit I'm hoping the fireworks stop after tonight, Mathilda is really fed up with them now! At least she's not like Maisie (our previous beloved Great Dane, who was absolutely petrified) and I don't have to sit under the table with our heads covered with a blanket cuddling  a very large and trembling dog!  There's a brand new challenge starting today at Crafty Calendar , the fabulous theme is 'sparkle, bling and embellish', there's a fantastic prize on offer too from our lovely sponsor this month, Brenda's Lace and Ribbon Specials -here's the link to her Facebook Shop:-https://www.facebook.com/groups/572264729563452/?fref=ts

who wouldn't want to win this gorgeous goody bag???!!!

I made a centre step card using a really cute Mo digi. I coloured her with copics, loads of glitter on her hat! I just added some die cuts embellished with tiny gems, and a stamped sentiment.

Thanks for visiting, do pop over to Crafty Calendar to see the beautiful creations from my very talented teamies! Then dig out the glitter and bling and get creating! We'd love to see what you make too!

Southern Girls stick together...through thick and thin!

Good morning,  here we are in November, winter will soon be upon us but we have enjoyed the loveliest Autumn here in the SE, mild and sunny, the trees looked amazing but getting quite bare now!
There's a new challenge starting today over at Southern Girls ,  we're wanting to see your creations using ribbon, twine or tape, our sponsor for this is the fabulous

The DT were allowed to choose a digi stamp to play with, I chose to use the beautiful Key to my heart. I used copics to colour her with a touch of white gel pen in her hair. The key is suspended from a short length of glittery twine. The backing card is embossed using a Tim Holtz EF. I added white ribbon, 2 red roses and a die cut.

Thanks for visiting, hope you have a lovely day, and for those who celebrate 5th November with fireworks, enjoy them and stay safe!
