Hey there!

Good morning,it's time for a new challenge at Creative Moments and this fortnight the optional theme is 'use 2 or more pattern papers'. We're sponsored by Creative Bug Digital Stamps and Kitty Bee Designs, so some cute digis for our two lucky winners!.
I chose to use this adorable little dragon from Kitty Bee, 'Kawaii, year of the Dragon' available here.
I used snippets of patterned paper from my ever-increasing 'scrap drawer'. The little dragon's head and body  is paper pieced with a mauve scap that reminded me of scales. I cut one of the circles from the green spotted paper and popped the dragon in the aperture, then mounted it on top of the black dotty paper with sticky pads to add a little dimension. The small black circles were added randomly (to hide an inky fingerprint!!!!)
I made a second using the image too....pretty self explanatory!

Thanks for visiting today, it'd great to have you play along at Creative Moments this time...remember it's anything goes so no need to follow the theme if you prefer not to! For more inspiration from my teamies just click here....they'd love a visit from you too!

Spread your wings

Hello, I'm back from holiday after a lovely week in the Cotswolds, what a beautiful part England it is! We had a restful, stress free week admiring the picturesque towns and villages in the area, enjoying delicious meals in the local hostelries. (Strangely all my clothes seem to have shrunk during the week, must be something to do with the change of water :). Mathilda, our Great Dane enjoyed herself too...she is a complete celebrity wherever we take her, lapping up the attention and admiration as her due...no exaggeration -one day over 40 people took photos of her and we lose count of how many people stop to stroke her! Here's a photo of her taking a little time out to smell the flowers!

and here she is proving that no matter how much you enjoy a holiday there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed!

I made the card before I went away with a couple of challenges in mind, but didn't get around to blogging it. The image is one of my favourites from Delicious Doodles, and was coloured some time ago. The cogs and clock are die cuts, embossed and distressed. Sentiment stamps are Finnabair the wings are grunge board, lightly embossed with gold EP. It was a fun card to make!

Thanks for looking

Ribbon and/ or lace at Fab N Funky

hi everyone...another scheduled post from me. Our new challenge starts today over at Fab 'n 'Funky, the theme chosen by our lovely Catherine is ribbon and/or lace. The sponsor this week is Live And Love Craft. Have to admit I left this until the last minute...not a lot of time to spare so a very simple L/O. The sweet image is from A Day for Daisies  and she's coloured with Copics, I used a white gel pen to add the dots to her dress and bonnet.
We'd love to have you play along this week, click here for more inspiration from my lovely teamies and to add your own beautiful lacy and beribboned creations!
Thanks for stopping by!

Crazy bird house

Good morning! This is my scheduled post for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', the theme this week is 'anything but a card'- sponsored by Live and Love Crafts- so I thought I would share the moneybox I decorated for my (crazy) sister's last birthday.
I painted the mdf box with acrylics then decorated with distress inks and stamps, the Crazy Birds and flowers are stamped onto card then cut out and glued to the box. The little notice in the bird's beak is handwritten . The roof tiles are cut from grunge paper and coloured with distress ink, it was quite fiddly arranging them so that you could still put money in the slot! Hope you like it - Crazy Barb did!
Thanks for visiting today, don't forget to pop over to Sweet Stampin' to see what delights my lovely teamies have created...then it's over to you...make anything you like...as long as it isn't a card! (Don't forget to include some stamping!)
Have a fabulous weekend

Southern Girls Challenge...Magical and Mystical

Good morning, here I am again with my card for the new challenge at Southern Girls. The theme this fortnight is Magical and Mystical, sponsored by The East Wind and Lacy Sunshine.
I coloured my lovely image, Ebony Seakissed Mermaid. with copics, loads of glossy accents on the bubble. The pale blue cardstock is embossed with a Leonie Pujol EF and  the DP was a freebie with a magazine. I added die cuts, a few pearls and a stamped sentiment, then used glossy accents randomly on some of the bubbles.
I got my wires crossed and made two cards using this sweet image, will share the other one at a later date if time allows.
Thanks for calling by today.

Christmas at Sweet Stampin' September Challenge

Well here I am I again with my DT card for September's challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'.  The theme is Christmas Die Cuts. Apologies for the terrible photo here, the card looks blue but is actually white....please use your imagination! Haven't had time to take another photo as I've been busy looking after my Mum whilst rest of family away.
The image is from Mo Manning, isn't she cute?! Coloured with copics, stickles on the snowball. I cut her out using a circle die. The snowy background die is Yvonne Creations. The pink cardstock is on the inside of the card...had to be pink the card is for little Emily...guess what her favourite colour is!!!
We'd love to have you play along with this lovely easy challenge this month, for more inspiration just click here to see the beautiful creations from my teamies.
