Colour Crazy -Week 35

Good morning, here's my Guest Designer  card for this week's challenge at Colour Crazy. AS always the theme is 'anything goes' so long as it has a hand colouring.
This week the sponsor is Moonflower and I chose to use the beautiful Lilly Ice Skating image,  as usual coloured with my Copics. She’s a lovely image to colour! I used the Copics to create an icy lake for her to skate on with snowy banks and die cut pine trees, I added Wink of Stella to the ‘ice’ and some white Frantage to the sky. Lilly was fussy cut and placed on top. I placed the little scene in a glittery die cut frame, matted onto a large ‘all over’ snowflake diecut (unsure of the make). The glittery die cut skates and  stamped sentiment are attached with a snowflake brad.
There is some wonderful inspiration to be enjoyed over at Colour Crazy Challenges, so please hop over and take a peek!
Thanks for visiting today
Have a great weekend

Out of this world!

Good morning, it's New Release Day at Bugaboo, this week's digi is a fun and versatile set of cute and quirky space monsters. I love these block stamps, they're so versatile and great value as they can be used just as they are, cut up and arranged in various ways or enlarged and used as individual images. I needed a quick card for my friend's grandson so this time I used the stamp just as it printed, coloured  it with my trusty copics and a white gel pen with glossy accents on the eyes. I mounted it onto dark blue cardstock and added punched stars for a quick and simple make. I'll certainly be using this image again!
For more ideas using this cute image hop over to Catch the Bug there's loads to see there!
Thanks for visiting, have a good day

Smile

Good morning. The theme for our new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky is 'babies', chosen for you by our lovely Susan, there are no sponsors or prizes this week, we're playing just for fun. I chose to use this little sweetie from Mo Manning, just looking at her makes me smile! I coloured her up with copics, paper piecing her romper and parts of her hat (fiddly cutting for the romper but I like the result!) I used  the same papers for my background design, matting them onto red cardstock. The 'smile' blocks were cut from the same paper pad, covered with glossy accents and popped up on foam pads. The little tag diecuts are Sizzix (love these!) The little red hearts are made with Nuvo Crystal Drops (quite proud of these as they all look the same size!)
Hope you find the time to play along with us this week, if you're stuck for inspiration hop over here to see what my fabulous teamies have made.

let the good times roll!

Good morning, time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' , this time our theme is 'sport'. I don't have many sports themed stamps...a few football and golf ones, so I was wracking my brain for ideas when I remembered this fun cat stamp, part of a set by Penny Black. The sentiment is part of the same set.
Please hop over to Sweet Stampin' for more inspiration from the Sweeties, it would be great if you choose to play along this week.

Have a fabulous weekend.

let's wine a little!

Good afternoon, it's been very quiet here lately, my daughter SIL and granddaughters are away enjoying the excitement of a holiday in Florida, sunshine, fun and Mickey Mouse! They're having a fantastic time, I'm happy to say, the daily photos they send me say it all... missing my girlies though! I've been having a tidy up in the craft room (not getting very far as keep getting distracted by the things I find) and decided I needed to 'weed' the huge amount of craft magazines I have hoarded for years, but of course I have to look through them first to see if I want to keep anything...it's a long slow process! Anyway I came across a tutorial for making an easel card with a box on front, created by adding adding concertina-ed strips of card to the sides of the front panel, so I thought I'd give it  a go...here's the result.
The sentiment inside the box is stamped and embossed with white ep., obviously this needs to be done before putting the box together :) The sweet  Wine Sprite is an Aurora Wings image, coloured with copics.. I'm pleased with how this turned out, especially as it folds flat enough to post in an ordinary envelope.

Thanks for visiting.

Christmas at Sweet Stampin' - August challenge

So hard to think about Christmas cards in the heat we've been sweltering in over the last few weeks, actually it's quite hard to think about anything much! This card started out to be something completely different in shades of blue and silver...but this is how it ended up. The background paper is watercolour paper embossed with a few snowflakes and coloured with distress inks, sadly the white ep doesn't look very white! The stamp is Indigo Blue, I just used the top part of it I die cut the snowflake and sentiment from black glitter card.
Much as it seems a long way ahead now, there are only 4 more challenges until Christmas so you really might want to think about getting started on your festive makes....
Hop over to Sweet Stampin' now for lots of inspiration from my lovely teamies, we have 3 new talented ladies starting this month and I'm sure they'd appreciate a visit and  bit of encouragement from you!

New release day at Bugaboo

It's new release day at Bugaboo Stamps, here's the card I made with this week's beautiful cat silhouette image. I printed off two of the images, flipping one so that the cats faced each other, die cut the pair with a stitched circle die, letting their tails overlap the edge. I kept the design black and white to match the elegance of these beautiful cats.
It's alway fascinating to me to see what different ideas people have using the same image, my teamies have come up with some fantastic creations , just hop over to Catch the Bug to take a look.
Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day

Dots and/or stripes at Crafty Calendar

Hi I'm back with my second post for today, this time it's my DT card for our new challenge at Crafty Calendar, this month our theme is 'dots and/or stripes' and we're sponsored by the fabulous A Day for Daisies
A Day For Daisies
I chose to use this sweet image, A special flower, which I've coloured with Copics. I die cut the image using a stitched square die and kept my layout very simple, just adding the striped ribbon, spotty button and a stamped sentiment.
My lovely teamies have created some gorgeous cards using these beautiful Day for Daisies images, just click here to enjoy them.
Hope you find the time to play along this month.

Life is a voyage of discovery...

Good morning and happy weekend, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'...this week the theme is 'Travel'. This theme can be interpreted many ways and I couldn't decide what to make so I trawled back through some of my older stamps hoping that inspiration would bite me! I 'discovered' this gorgeous stamp from Crafty Individuals...and the rest was easy! I stamped the image twice onto some parchment effect cardstock, added a bit of colour to one image using distress ink I cut the ship from the second image, shaped it with a ball tool and adhered it onto the coloured panel using pinflair glue, it does give a lovely dimension which sadly doesn't really show in the photo! I matted the stamped panel onto several layers of distressed DP, added a bit of twine, metal corner and a stamped sentiment.
I hope you'll now travel over to  Sweet Stampin' to discover the fabulous creations of my teamies, and of course we'd love to see how you interpret the travel theme.

Colour Crazy Challenge

Good morning, I'm delighted to be a Guest Designer for Colour Crazy Challenges... it's a fabulous challenge blog with very talented designers and I love to colour...so happy days!
For my first card I used an Aurora Wings Digi Stamp, White Poppy, which I’ve coloured with copics. I fussy cut it and attached to an embossed white tag, which is matted onto layers of blue and purple papers and a white die cut frame. The die cut poppies are Memory Box, and the poppies in the corner are coloured and cut from a smaller printing of the image. I added a few pearls , a stamped sentiment and some faux stitching with a white gel pen.

Thank you for visiting today, be sure to hop over to Colour Crazy Challenges for details of this fortnight's prize and to check out the lovely inspiration from the DT, then why not get out your favourite colouring mediums and play along...anything goes as long as there's a hand coloured image!
