This week we are sponsored by QKR Stampede,

who kindly supplied the DT with some fun digis to play with, I formed an instant attachment to the Couch Potato...we have an affinity...

The optional twist this week, chosen by our lovely host, Christine, is 'add some spots or stripes'

Pop over to Crafty Catz Challenge to for details of the prize and to check out the fabulous inspiration from my lovely teamies.

Beautiful Day

Good morning, I'm happy to say that I'm on time with this week's DT card for
  Crafty Catz Challenges.

This week is a just for fun challenge, no sponsor or prizes, out top 3 picks will still get a lovely badge for their blog.

Billie is our host for this week, she's picked

  Watercolour Background

as her optional twist- lovely! As you can see my background is very simple, I just sloshed on some blue and green watercolours and added a few splats. The mermaid , Krista Smith, is coloured with Copic markers, I matted the image onto a square of DP and stamped the sentiment.

There's loads of wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team over at the challenge blog, so please do hop over and enjoy!

Thanks for visiting today, have a great weekend

Wheels!

Good morning, our new Challenge starts today over at Fab'n' Funky,
Pat is hosting this fortnight and she's chosen a great theme for us
  WHEELS.
I was really pleased to discover this super image in my box of coloured up images, goodness knows how long he's been hiding in there! He's an old favourite from Prairie Fairy, sadly no longer trading. Because he was already coloured this was a quick and easy make, I used a double sided square of DP and made random diagonal cuts from the centre of it, turned back the cut paper to show the reverse side, inked the edges and  stuck it onto a black card base, stuck my biker on top as though he was bursting through.
There's some great inspiration from the rest of my lovely teamies so do hop over to Fab'n' Funky to check them out.
Thanks for visiting

Potted mouse

Good morning- I'm happy to sat that this post is on time! It's my mid- month reminder for the September Challenge at Stamping Sensations, the optional theme is Garden Delights.

I made a rocker card featuring a cute House Mouse stamp- can't say I'd be delighted to see a mouse in one of my garden pots ...but maybe if it was as cute as this one! I stamped some extra sunflowers, I think the stamps were a magazine freebie, and cut them out to decorate the edge and added a tiny tag with a stamped sentiment. Image and flowers coloured with Copic markers.

Please take a look at the challenge blog- you will find all the details of how to enter, the fabulous prize on offer and, last but not least, some beautiful creations from the rest of the team.

Thanks for visiting, have a lovely day.

Tags at Sweet Stampin'

Hello, I'm still running a bit late- but gradually catching up, it's amazing how much there is to do after just a week away. It's been a beautiful day today and I must confess to taking a teeny little time out to have a tiny little read out in the sunshine...it would be a shame to miss out on what will probably be my last chance as it seems the weather is about to change after today.

A new challenge started today over at Sweet Stampin'

- the theme for this fortnight is TAGS.

I die cut a fairly large tag from white cardstock and smooshed it into some purple, yellow and blue distress inks adding a few splatters of the same colours. I stamped the beautiful Pink Ink witch directly onto the tag, then stamped her again onto white card, coloured her with markers, then cut her out-minus her hair- and adhered her onto the first image- a whole lot easier than trying to cut round that hair! I stamped the sentiment and the foliage around the edges using grey Versafine Clair ink, colouring the leaves with a green sparkle gel pen, then tied on some fibres and ribbon. It makes a great bookmark.

Do hop over to the challenge blog to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the team, I hope you'll be inspired to join us.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Happy holiday!

Good morning, we're just back from holiday so I'm a little late with this post- the new challenge at Crafty Catz started yesterday but there's still plenty of time to join in. The optional theme for this week, chosen by our lovely Bridget, is 'DIES'
Our fabulous sponsor this time is

Dr Digi

The image I have used is Selfie Santa, which I coloured with Copics and fussy cut (that little twiggy arm was tricky!) . The merry Christmas die is Memory box  which I've cut from a square of DP (The Works) and placed over an embossed square of white cardstock.

We had a wonderful holiday-great location and accommodation, just 20 minutes walk to the beach,  amazing weather, so warm and sunny but thankfully not too hot for Marvin, who I'm happy to say made up for his disappointing beach day last week- he was in the sea -every day- at least once, sometimes twice and he found a little stream to play in too, not to mention the muddy puddles in the lane after the thunderstorm we had one night! He's such a
waterbaby.

Same view at sunset

In the sea at last! - In such a hurry to get in he forgot to wear his trunks!

Happy, tired boy drying off in the sun.

Thanks for stopping by- don't forget to check out the challenge blog, as always some fab creations from my teamies to enjoy and admire.
Thank you for all the lovely comments left while I was away, very much appreciated, I will be catching up with you all as soon as I can.

Crafty Catz are back!

Good morning, this is a scheduled post, I should be on holiday in beautiful Devon right now! I'm hoping that we'll be having some lovely weather so that Marvin can give his swimming trunks an airing after our disappointing day on Wednesday. We met our friends as planned BUT there was no beach...just acres of smelly mud as the tide was right out. It was far too hot to wait for the tide to turn 28degrees + and no shade  is not good for dogs! Marvin said he didn't mind having a play in the stinky mud but we were not keen on that idea, such spoilsports, so we had lunch and came home early- much more comfortable for dogs with big fur coats on!. We've promised to make up for it next week so will be on the beach- rain or shine!

My card today is for our new challenge at Crafty Catz, we're back refreshed and raring to go after the summer break. I've used a cute Mo Manning elf and coloured him with Copic markers. Papers from stash, a die cut frame and stamped sentiment.

There are no sponsors this week, so no prizes but we will be picking a Top Three as usual. The optional twist for this week is 'Getting Ready for Christmas' picked by our lovely Aunty Sue or of course you can enter using the Anything Goes option.

There's plenty of inspiration to be enjoyed over at Crafty Catz so please hop over for a visit and of course it would be great to have you join us for this 1st challenge of the season.

Thanks for visiting today, and thanks to everyone kind enough to take the time to leave a comment, always much appreciated.

See you in a week.

Fab'n' Funky - wings or scales

Good morning, Fab'n Funky Challenges are back after the summer break. Our challenge theme for this fortnight is Wings or Scales- or you can use both if you want to.

I made a CAS card featuring a beautiful stamp from the Card Hut. I've coloured the mermaids with Copic Markers, I will add a stamped sentiment when I've decided what I'm going to use it for! I like to have a few non-specific cards in hand just to send as notelets.

Do hop over to Fab 'n Funky for some lovely inspiration  from the rest of the team, hope you can find some time to play along with this challenge.

Off to the beach today, to meet up with some friends- Marvin is very excited and has been wearing his swimming trunks since yesterday!

Thanks for visiting
have a lovely day

In the garden

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at
this month we are sponsored by Stamp Addicts

the optional theme is Garden Delights.
I used some beautiful Lavinia Stamps on an ink blended background to make the front of my card.
The inside is a simple pop up design with a cut out arch on the pop up bit. The wall and sky are stencilled, the rest is various stamps, mainly Lavinia, I think just the grass is a different brand.

Over at the challenge blog you will find loads of inspiration from the rest of the team, so it's really worth a visit,  as always the theme is optional- as long as the main focus of your project is stamping - anything goes!

Thanks for visiting

Penguins...

Good morning- it's me! Can't believe it's two whole weeks since I last blogged, I haven't been ill or on holiday, just busy doing other stuff! A fair amount of reading, some sewing... a top for myself, which I actually liked enough to wear, and nearly finished a dress, jury is still out on that! I was struggling a bit with my machine, which is nearly 50 years old, so treated myself to a new one yesterday, now I'll probably go off sewing again!
I've also had some family time, looking after the younger granddaughters and celebrating my eldest granddaughter's GCSE success, she did brilliantly, we're so proud of her.

My card today is for our new challenge at
sponsored this month by
The image I have used is Penguin Tree, which I've coloured with Copic markers. I found a tutorial on Pinterest with instructions how to fold this star shaped card, it's really simple to do and stands up beautifully when opened and folds nice and flat to post. the papers I used are from the Works, double sided which made it quicker than layering up different DP. I added die cut snowflakes and a die cut sentiment to finish.

Be sure to hop over to Crafty Catz Challenge Blog to check out the inspiration from my lovely teamies.

Thanks for visiting, have a lovely weekend
