A dark and gloomy November afternoon....

It's raining, it's dark and gloomy outside, so what better way of spending the afternoon than playing in my nice warm craft room? This is the first card I've made for ages that wasn't for a DT. I used a really sweet image from The East Wind called Holly and Olive. I printed her twice so I could add extra layers and dimension to her headdress. She's coloured with copics, a touch of red stickles for the berries. I die cut the image then added a touch of green distress ink and a sprinkling of Frantage to the edges. The background is composed of embossed white rectangles, matted onto dark green, a couple MB die cuts and a stamped greeting.
I apologise for the photo...very poor light today!
I'm now sitting here smiling because I've just noticed it's time for the school run ....and it's not my turn to pick the granddaughters up today :)!!!
Thanks for visiting,
Chris

This is delightful. I love all of the fabulous texture in those layers and the green matting really emphasizes the various shapes. The dimension from layering up the image is very cool and your colouring is lovely. Thanks for joining our Layer It On Me, Baby challenge at The East Wind. I hope we see you again soon.
