'tis the season

Good morning, time for our November challenge at Fab'n' Funky.  This time Pat K is hosting and has picked the theme of Christmas Colours- Red Green or Gold- time to get started on those festive cards!

I made an easel card, cutting away part of the upright panel so the elf could peek around the edge. The elf is a digi from Mo Manning, which I've coloured with pencils and fussy cut, striped paper from stash- apologies if it makes your eyes go funny as it does mine, foliage and stars die cuts are Sizzix, Large sentiment stamp is Concord &9th embossed in gold.

There's more inspiration from my lovely teamies over at Fab'n' Funky- hope you can join us this month.

Thanks for visiting

Chris

It's November!

Good morning, wow it's November!!! It really has sneaked up on me this year- maybe the mild weather? With the temperatures we've been having here it feels more like September, not a fan of cold so I'm not complaining. I will say that it's been difficult to motivate myself to make Christmas cards though- keep thinking there's plenty of time yet so I was pleased with this month's theme at We Love Stamping - which is CHRISTMAS CRITTERS or Anything Goes. I have been trying not to buy new Christmas stash (with limited success!) so I used a much- loved wood backed stamp from Whipper Snapper, this gorgeous bear tends to appear on a yearly basis. Coloured with Copic markers and fussy cut to stand in the A&C archway die, cut from a piece of cardstock which was the result of a messy brushos play many moons ago. I mounted the arch panel onto a black card base and stamped and embossed the sentiment.

If you're like me and need to get a shift on with the Christmas card now is a good time to start- why not join in with our challenge - there are  lovely prizes on offer too-

Dies, Christmas Design Papers and free artwork and reflections download from Highlight Crafts
