I used Image 312 Hippie Peace Van, had fun colouring it with my Copics then sat looking at it with no idea what to do next! I thought back to the days of my youth and the hippies and flower power movement of the 60s and 70s - and remembered the time I asked my Mum if I could go to a psychadelic freakout with my first boyfriend (we were both 14 at the time, I had no idea what a freakout was, let alone a psychadelic one- but it sounded really cool!) my Mum had her own little psychadelic freakout - and so did his! I never, ever got to go one.... anyway I tried to create a sort of psychadelic, flowery background by drawing and cutting out shapes, colouring them and adding die cut edges and and punched flowers I fussy cut the Peace Van and popped it up with foam pads. This was fun to make and I'm giving it to my eldest granddaughter as I know she'll love it...

LOve your design and colours Chris.
Freya called only last week with a pair of slacks on that looked as though they had come right from the sixties! Had to smile.

Hi Chris, that is one fabulous card! I love the colours and your colouring of the camper van is just wonderful!!
I can't imagine my parents letting me go to a psychadelic freakout - they were very dubious when I wanted to go to a disco when I was 19! - but I would've been asking in the later 80's and it would've been a rave!! There and again, I doubt I'd let TTT got to anything that's got the word freakout in it either!!
Hope you have a good weekend,
Sarah
Oh I remember those days as well Chris as well as the music and mini skirts not to mention dresses and blouses laden with every colour flower you can think of. Your take of that era if fabulous.
