Bring it on!!!

It's the last Wednesday of the month ....so that means it's time for our monthly Christmas Challenge at Fab N Funky! As tomorrow it will be October that date is drawing closer and closer....need I say more??? If you haven't already made all of your cards, written and addressed and stamped them (snigger) now's your time to get started!!!

This week our challenge is hosted by our lovely Judith and there's a lovely prize to be won from our generous sponsor

I used a recently purchased stamp from Whipper Snapper to make my card, I couldn't resist this exuberant little chap! He's coloured with copics, fussy cut and placed on an embossed snowbank, the frame is also embossed with snowflakes. The sentiment is part of the stamp. Quick and easy, but it makes me smile!

I hope you'll be tempted to join us this week, why not pop over to Fab N Funky now to see what my lovely teamies have created and then get started on  your own festive makes (unless you've already finished them of course....)
Thanks for stopping by
Have a lovely day

Little Birdie

Good morning! I'm here with my card for our new challenge at Creative Moments...'anything goes or Autumn colours'. I used a cute image,  Little Birdie, courtesy of this challenge's  lovely sponsor Deedee's Digis. I used the pre-coloured version as I loved the colours, definitely said 'Autumn ' to me :) I printed the little birdie twice so that I could cut out his beak (youchie!) and the sunflower to add a bit of dimension. I then cropped the image to print just  the sunflower in various sizes, which I fussy cut and added seed beads to the centres. Papers, ribbon,  twine and decorative corner from stash. The sentiment was one of several that came with the image.
There's some great inspiration to be seen from my lovely teamies by clicking here.
We'd love to have you play along this fortnight....remember anything goes!
Thanks for visiting, I'll be back soon!

Better late than never!

Helloooo! Just back from a lovely, lazy 2 week holiday in beautiful North Yorkshire- idyllic 'cottage' on the edge of a picturesque village- 5 minutes walk from local hostelry ...and very 'dog friendly', so not a lot of 'self catering' to spoil a great fortnight!!! Mathilda is worn out from all the admiration and adulation she received...just wish people wouldn't think they were being funny and original saying 'you should put a saddle on him'....gets a bit wearing after a while...anyway she's a girlie!!!! The weather was kind to us...much more sunshine than rain... and we met a lot of really friendly and helpful people who gave us loads of tips on where to go and what to do.
My card is a tad late for our latest challenge at Sweet Stampin' which went live yesterday but there's still plenty of time for you to join in ..the theme this week is 'embossing'. I used a really cute Stamping Bella Tiny Townie stamp which I've colored with copics and Wink of Stella pens. Loads of different embossing folders used on the patchwork background which has been made up of small stitched edge die cuts.

Our sponsor for this week is is the fabulous Flat Friends so there's a lovely prize awaiting our lucky winner! Why not pop over to Sweet Stampin' now to check out the inspiration from my lovely teamies? We'd love to see what you make of this challenge too....just remember to use a stamp somewhere as well as the embossing!
Got to rush off now...will be back later to catch up on what you've all been up to while I've been away!!!
Have a lovely day!

Kids rule....(don't they just!!!)

Good morning, a scheduled post today (I hope!) with my DT card for this fortnight's challenge at Creative Moments. The optional theme for this is 'Back to School' or 'Kids Rule' but as always 'anything goes'! Our sponsor this challenge is none other than the fabulous All Dressed Up.
For my very simple card I used the cute Love my ipad image, irresistible as she looks just like my little niece (apart from the specs!) with her sweet face and long skinny legs! She's coloured with copics with a touch of glossy accents to the heart and punched stars.
There's plenty more inspiration to be seen from my talented teamies just by clicking here. We'd love to see your fabulous creations too!
Thank you for looking.
Have a lovely day!

Feathered friends

There's a new challenge over at  Southern Girls and this fortnight we're wanting to see 'lots of layers', so a great time to dig out all those lovely papers and layer 'em up! I was allowed to choose an image from one of our fabulous sponsors, Doodlepantry, and after some considerable time chose to use Feathery Friends. It took ages because there are just so many great images to pick from, many of them come complete with sentiments and digital papers, in colour and line drawings for you to colour yourself as well! This file has 6 different birdies and 8 sentiments as well as printable papers so amazing value at $2.75!
I chose to use the coloured versions of these two bright and bold parrots, printed them twice and cut out the wings and beaks of one set to add a bit of dimension (and it's another layer!) I used one of the digital papers that came with the set and matted it onto black card. The plain blue background is embossed. I added the sentiment, some die cut leaves and flowers and buttons from my stash. This was quick and easy to make as the ready coloured images saved a lot of time! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you playing along with the Southern Girls this time!

Let's get musical

It's Saturday....and that means a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'! This week we want you to get musical...no need to sing just make something with a musical theme
To make my card I used 2 cute images from the Paper Shelter, both coloured with copics and fussy cut, the first is on the front of the card (above). I mounted her over a die cut star frame, which has been outlined in black to make it pop, I used a white paint marker to outline my little singer! Can't remember the name of the dp, but layered a few contrasting squares, added a doodled border, some stars and punched notes.

The other girlie is inside the card, which as you can see, has 3 pop up steps. The background was made by rubbing white chalk ink through a mask, some stamped notes and die cut and embossed stars. The sentiment stamp is Darkroom Door. I had a lot of fun making this, but it was not fun trying to take a photo!!!
Now it's time for you to pop over to Sweet Stampin' to see what the rest of team Jackie have created for your inspiration, there's a lovely prize courtesy of our fab sponsor this week Live and Love Crafts for our lucky winner, so get stamping and play along!
Have a good week.

Our sponsor for this challenge is
The DT were given some sweet images to play with (thankyou!) and I chose to use this cute little bird image , available here. I've paper-pieced all of it apart from the tree stump and grass. The design is quite simple, image matted onto several layers of dp, matted onto an embossed background, a snippet of ribbon, a big die cut flower, punched notes and added buttons. Thank you for visiting today, please take the time to visit over at Crafty Calendar to see what my lovely new teamies have made...there are several new girls today and I'm sure that they'd love a bit of encouragement!
Remember this challenge is 'anything goes' so no excuse not to play along :)

Rock on...

Back again already with my DT card for Fab N Funky. Summer hols are over and we're back to weekly challenges, this week the challenge has been set by our lovely Zora and we would like to see some doodling...a handwritten sentiment or a doodled border! Our fabulous sponsor this week is none other than Kenny K!
My card features a fabulous KK image that I've had for some time and have been itching for a chance to colour up, I've coloured him with copics and this is my first attempt at darker skin. I swiped some distress ink around him and then doodled my border. The simple sentiment is handwritten too.
Thank you for visiting today, hope you like what you see!
Please take the time to visit over at Fab N Funky, there is some wonderful inspiration created by my lovely teamies and we would be delighted to have you join us for this challenge

Free hugs

Hello and good morning! September...it's September already! Soon be digging out our winter woollies, well those of us that actually put them away that is! Maybe the little cutie on my card has the right idea, all snuggled up in her moo cow onesie! The new challenge starting at Creative Moments this week is to use a sentiment or quote and is sponsored by Oddball Art Stamps. I chose this adorable image as she reminds me of my middle granddaughter, the huggiest and most affectionate little girl ever! I coloured the image with copics and stamped the 'free hugs' message onto her placard. As you can see the card design is very simple, a tent fold base with rounded corners, chopped the bottom off the front of it, cut off a slice about a centimeter wide then joined it back together using the mounted image and die cut 'hello' to hold it together. Just added a red button and some bakers twine! Nice 'n 'easy...just like our challenge, so hope you'll be inspired to play along with us this time! Remember Creative Moments is an anything goes challenge so you don't have to follow the theme to join  in!
Thanks for visiting
have a good day
