Winter wishes

It's the last Wednesday of July...that means a Christmas Challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky. Our sponsor for this week is Di's Digis and our lovely Susan is the host.
I used an adorable image by Mo Manning to make my card ( I do love these images!) and used copics to colour, keeping to a simple blue and white palette.

There's some fabulous creations from my lovely teamies to be seen just by clicking here, then it's over to you to get creative and join in.. no excuses now, there's loads of time as this challenge runs for 3 weeks!

Outdoors

Good morning, time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' , where our theme this week is 'Outdoors'...I've actually spent a lot of time outside this week...in the garden, in the shade with a book, lovely! (Apart from the nasty bitey thing that has feasted upon my arm and left it covered in extremely itchy bumps!)
Our sponsor for this challenge is the wonderful All Dressed Up who gave the DT some adorable images to play with. I used this cute little lad available here. I coloured the image with copics. The fence and birdies are die cut, the branch is stamped, fussy cut and the leaves paper pieced. The daisies are stamped and fussy cut too!
Thank you for visiting today, just click here to take a look at the challenge blog and at what my lovely teamies have created today.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

...and another fairy...

...a lot more subtle this time! I made this card for our new challenge over at Southern Girls...anything goes this fortnight! We have a fantastic sponsor this time, SLSLines, and I've used this beautiful Garden-fairy image for my creation. She's coloured with copics, using mainly greens and greys, again Wink of Stella lavished on wing! Papers from a 6x6 Santoro pad, distressed and faux stitched edges. A couple diecuts and a stamped sentiment to finish.
Thanks for looking...hope you'll find the time to play along with us this fortnight.
Have a lovely day

I spy...

Good morning! I hope those of you living in the UK are enjoying the current heatwave! We've waited a long time for some sunshine and now it's all come at once! Small granddaughters (and one large dog!) made the most of it yesterday...paddling pool and crazy daisy sprinkler...water guns and a lot of excited squealing! (and that was just me!!!)  Mathilda (my Great Dane) doesn't usually 'do' wet... but she joined in wholeheartedly...one soaking wet but much cooler pooch!
My card is a sunny one too...it's my DT card for the new challenge over at Creative Moments and anything goes this fortnight. Our sponsors for this challenge are Moonflower Digi Stamps and Angies Cards and Digis. I was given  this cute stamp Figment the Dragon, thank you Angie!, I created a no 8 shaped card base, fussy cut my coloured image and gave him a cloud to float on. A die cut sun, some more clouds and a computer generated sentiment- job done!
Thanks for calling by,
enjoy the sunshine

Bright fairy

Good afternoon my friends and visitors, hope you've all enjoyed a lovely and relaxing weekend...I have! It's been very warm here and yesterday we actually managed to invite some friends round for a BBQ without it raining us out (or in...as the case may be..!) We were still sitting outside at 10.30 pm without so much as a coat between us!!!
My card is one I made 'just because', I coloured the image whilst on holiday recently, along with several others and am just getting around to using them on cards. This beauty is a digi from Polkadoodles called Fairy Wings (aptly enough!). She's coloured with copics, glitter added to butterflies (you can see it) and more subtle Wink of Stella added to her wings (you can't see it!).
I followed the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, using a scrap of dp and scraps of cardstock in purple and pink. Was delighted to find the ribbon in my carefully and neatly sorted ribbon box (ahem...more like a complete tangle of jumbled scraps of ribbon and lace...but I knew it was in there somewhere!) a perfect colour match. The sparkly brad started life pink but a copic soon sorted that out!
Thanks for calling by, hope you have a pleasant evening and a great week ahead.

CaSS- Anything Goes!

I'm back again with my second post today...very excited because this is my first DT  card for Christmas at Sweet Stampin'. The theme is a very easy one ...Anything goes as long as it's Christmas! Our sponsor for this month is Ppinkydolls, who gave the DT some lovely digis to play with. I've never coloured any of these cute and whimsical images before, they are already shaded so I thought I'd have a go with distress inks, I think the soft look they give quite suits this little girl, but will try with the copics next time! After colouring my image I masked it off and stencilled the trees in the background.
Thanks for taking the time to visit, just click here to be transported to the Challenge Blog where you can see what my lovely new teamies have created with these images, then you have a whole four weeks to join in! Remember to include some stamping!

Puppy Love

Good morning, time for our new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, this week it's our lovely and extremely talented,  Wendy's,  turn to host and to pick the theme, which is 'add a sentiment'. We're lucky enough to be sponsored by All Dressed Up this week and the DT were given some adorable digis to choose from. Being a dog lover, I found this little chap irresistible! He's available here as part of a set (4 digi's in 1...amazing value!)
I coloured the pup with my copics and paper pieced his neckerchief and patch., couldn't resist adding some tiny gems. Very simple l/o , a couple of stamped paw prints and a computer generated warning!
Thanks for visiting today, hope you'll fin d the time to play along with this lovely easy challenge, just click here for more inspiration from my lovely teamies and to add your entry!
Have a great day!

It's only words...

Good morning, welcome to the weekend! I really don't know what happened to the last week, didn't seem to have time to get anything done...probably because I was inseparable from the TV and Wimbledon, well apart from the time spent with my girlies! I looked after my two year granddaughter on Thursday...I tried very hard to convince her that tennis was fun to watch but I'm afraid Wimbledon couldn't compete with Peppa or Paw Patrol....two year olds can be very loud...we watched Peppa ( not for too long, don't think too much tv is good for the littl'uns!) I even made my poor Mum watch for a while on Wednesday (tennis not Peppa) don't think she was too excited about it though!
Anyway, enough waffling on....my card today is for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', the theme is 'Sentiment as focus NO image', and our lovey sponsor this week is Crafts and Me. This is a really quick and simple make (as you can see) apologies for the shadows on the photo!
Hope you find time to play along with us this week.

Ribbons and bows at Creative Moments

Good morning my lovely friends! I'm here today with my DT card for the new challenge starting over at Creative Moments. We have no less than three fabulous sponsors this fortnight, Di's DigistampsDr Digi's House of Stamps and Robyn's Fetish and our optional theme is 'Ribbons And Bows'. I was given this sweet image from Di's Digi's to use, Ted's First Dance, available here for just $1. I coloured the teds up with my copics and polychromo pencils, adding loads of Wink of Stella to the bride's dress. If you try very hard and look very carefully you might just see it on the photo underneath :)

I kept the design and colour combo very simple to keep the focus on the image and the bow! Thanks for calling by today, please click here to hop over to Creative Moments where you can enjoy the beautiful cards created by my teamies! We'd love you to play along with us...remember the theme is optional!
Have a lovely day

Crafty Calendar July Challenge

Hello....I'm a little later than I wanted to be with this post, had a bad night and wasn't feeling well this morning, so went back to bed....and slept! I'm feeling so much better now, just as well as I have my granddaughters tonight and I would hate to let them down! Anyway here's my card for this months Crafty Calendar Challenge, sponsored by the fabulous All Dressed Up, our theme this time is 'Dies and/or punches. the DT were given some sweet images to use, I chose this cutie-Flowers for you.  Once again I used my copics to colour her. I used a Martha Stewart border punch which hasn't seen the light of day for a while...I used to use it all the time, but tend to forget about punches these days and go for the die cuts! The flower and 'hello' are die cut. Papers are a magazine freebie, I love the colours of these!
My lovely teamies have excelled themselves this month, their inspiration cards are gorgeous! Just click here to pop over and take a look. We hope you'll join in with our lovely easy challenge this month, we'd love to see what you make of it!
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.
